How To Know If Someone Deleted Your 3DS Friend Code

I hated how the Nintendo DS friend code system worked. I was quiet the Pokemon battler back in the days. Wi-Fi battles were intense, however, when I exchanged friend codes with someone and they remove me (it normally occurs over time when you add random people – trust me), there was no way I could have tell. So, I ended up keeping peoples’ friend codes for the game instead of finding new people, which was obviously a waste.

With the Nintendo 3DS, it is similar. The system will not alarm you when/if someone deletes your 3DS friend code. You will see them online from your friend list, however, you will not be able to join any of their games. This tutorial will teach you a quick trick that you can use to find out if someone has removed your Nintendo 3DS friend code from their friend list.

How To Find Out Who Deleted Your Nintendo 3DS Friend Code

To accomplish this task, you will be required to use SwapNote.

  1. Turn on the Nintendo 3DS, and open SwapNote (app).
  2. Send a letter to all of your 3DS friends with SwapNote (learn how to).
  3. Go back to the letter and select “Send” (but do not send the letter again).
  4. A list of your 3DS friends should appear (keep reading – there’s more).

The people from the list (that was mentioned in step 4) who has a SwapNote letter symbol next to their name has not removed your 3DS friend code. If the symbol is not next to the person’s name, that means the person deleted your friend code.

Alternative Method : Go to your Nintendo 3DS friend list. Search for the person who you think removed your friend code and write down his/her friend code. Delete their friend code (learn how to delete a 3DS friend code), and then re-add them. If you have to write the person’s Mii name or the Mii does not show up after re-adding the person, that means the person has deleted your friend code.
