Back-to-School Guide

Back-to-School Guide

Back to School Guide~

It's that time of the year again~ School. Girls fighting over trivial things, Discriminated racial friend groups, homework, and last but not least, knowing what day of the week it actually is. These are basically some tips for people that want to get a head-start. :3 You're free to disagree with any of the things I say, but don't negatively rate this because of that reason please. .-. Moving on >.<)/

Necessities

School year is coming up! And there's absolutely nothing you can do to stop it from happening. So, quit being negative person and look forward to things. ( I know, it can be hard ;~; ) Education is really important. And even though I do complain about hating school math all the time, I still value it.

So, how do you get excited for school?

- Ask your parents to buy you a nice bag and school supplies. (or buy it yourself >.<)
Make sureeeeeee your bag is comfortable :3

- Make sure to buy a planner so you can organize your stuff when school starts and not be a mess, which will make you hate it even more.

- Get some mints, gum, sunglasses, etc all the stuff you need >.<

So, you have a nice comfortable bag, an organized planner, supplies and some backup for when school starts ^-^ It's really important that you're happy with the stuff you have so you can enjoy the school day more. (ex, having a comfortable bag)

Next, is telling your mind to listen. Think of school as fun. Focus on your classes and try your best in every class.
You know why it's better to try your best and not give up
Because you're going to be in school for a whole day and going to be present in classrooms, so might as well do the work instead of fooling around.
-In everything besides math ;-; - cries -

Homework and studying is an issue that many people struggle with.

Homework - You just gotta do it. Think about not doing your homework one day, which brings down your grade, which brings down your GPA, which doesn't let you go to a university, and then you end up going to a community college, and don't do your homework there, and then you end up as a hobo on the street, all because you didn't do your homework. :panda:

Studying - Instead of cramming everything into one day, Take about 15 minutes each day to look over your notes. It's really easier that way and you don't forget stuff. Looking at your notes each day helps retain the info. Cramming everything at the last minute is bad ;~; and we all do it .-. But that doesn't mean don't study for the test. Reading over notes each day will make cramming more easier :D

Preparation

waking up early is sooooooo difficult ;~; I understand the struggle you guys .-. But we have to do it anyways. Here are some tips :3

- Prepare your clothes the day before
It's sooo difficult getting out of bed already and the last thing you want to do is mess up and pick out the wrong shirt or something because you were sleepy. If you get your clothes ready the night before, you can get in the shower faster and save time.

-
Shower the night before ^-^
I always do this because I hate waiting in the morning for my turn to shower. Showering at night makes stuff easier in the morning but some people may not like it cause they might not be used to it :c

- Practice waking up early
My bedtime gets cut by 30 minutes as we get closer to the start of the school year. :bag: It's gonna be 10:00 soon ;~; I still don't sleep tho heh :p

When it begins ~:nailbiting:

So when school begins, don't think about others. You don't need to be part of the cool kid group. You don't need to be popular. Popularity really, really doesn't matter ;-;

You know why popularity doesn't matter? Look at this generation for example. People just laugh at eachother and insult eachother for fun. I'm not talking joking insulting, I'm talking cussing at eachother multiple times ;~; Being in that group doesn't mean anything. Be with people that you're comfortable with and are not mean :c , (unless you like that )
All you have to do is be kind, and be yourself. People are going to judge you, no matter what, and it's better to get judged for who you are rather than hiding your emotions and hanging with the wrong people, etc. Try to be nice. If you want ;-; I always try to meet people and talk to them. We're all humans and in the end and if someone doesn't like you it's no big deal and it's time to move on. .-. If it's someone you've known for a long time, eh, different story ;-; Point being, just be yourself.

Bullying/Drama

It's happened to all of us. You're just minding your own business and some meanie pushes you into a locker because of a misunderstanding. ;-;
The best way to avoid bullying is to go near people you know. Bullys tend to go for people that are alone. .-.

Cyber-bullying however, is totally different. If someone is bothering you online, there's a lot you can do.
You can:
- Turn off the computer and ignore them
- Block/Ignore them
-Report them
- Report them again

If someone is bothering you online, it's really no big deal compared to real life imo unless they're threatening to take your life or something. That's just my opinion but yeah. .-.

Oh yeah, if someone is starting rumours about you, don't confront them. That'll just lead to more drama. Let em say what they want and talk to an adult about it. Rumours die off fast as long as you don't bring attention to em.

If you disagree, I'm sowwie ;-;

I had a writers explosion thing. >.< I just felt like typing. Anyhoo, I probably missed some stuff but I hope you guys enjoyed reading this~ Good luck in school ^-^ :nailbiting:

Are you all seniors in high school
Great effort. Just too much of a personal thing for me to respect. It's a little weird.
lol Youre super popular on 3dspedia because you have all 5 star ratings! (dont wanna be that one guy that ruins everything by posting a mean or negative comment- which I'd never do, of course!)xD
Anyways, youre guide was very helpful & Id of DEFINITELY used it if it werent for 1 small insignificant detail- I graduated last year. Class of 2015! I actually did everything in your guide except:
1.) Take showers in the morning
2.) Do my homework
3.) Pay attention in class
4.) Stay awake
5.) Do classwor- *stops* *realizes*
You know, this is starting to look like a list of high school
"Should-Not-Dos"... :c

I see. Late congrats >.<)/
Great. What are you, a senior now? Also, what's with the emphasis on comfortable bags? Why not get a bag with wheels? I thought you said popularity doesn't matter ;-)

Yep, senior. Comfortable bag because you'll be holding it all day >.<'
Nice job. I really liked all your tips! Getting up early is the worst, but I've already been is school for 4 weeks, and things are going pretty smoothly. Lol reading this while "trying" to do my homework.

Thanks! Don't forget the hw D:
You forgot one key point. If you have summer reading, get it done ASAP. Being behind in high school isn't fun. My friend learned it today
As a teacher (well, almost - one more year), I approve wholeheartedly of this and it's similar to the sort of things I used to do as a student before hitting that "who cares" slump and relying on roughly five hours of sleep and doing all of my work in the mornings or at school because I vehemently refused to do anything after coming home from school. Disclaimer: this worked for me. It doesn't work for most people.

As an aside, community college is actually a pretty valid option for students with financial difficulties who, for one reason or another, aren't being adequately supported by other institutions. Two very cheap years of community and then transferring yourself and your credits to somewhere else is actually a pretty good idea and nobody frowns upon you for it. I didn't realize this when I was younger and thus have some debt.

Thanks! I didn't mean to diss community college. My point was that doing homework is important or you won't get really far in school and develop bad habits.
Kool! but I don't need no guide because I don't actually care much whether it's summer or school because its fun-ish either way. Also Math is my favorite subject :3
Very Good Miss Rawrrie! Quite helpful!
