Game review: Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3

[I've made this review elsewhere, so I'm posting it here.]

A fun little game from Capcom for the Xbox 360,
Note: I've only played Offline with this, (My Xbox can't go online and I've never really bothered to purchase the device for it) so I don't know how it plays online, and my UMvC disc just stopped working...

[Graphics/Sounds]
Very decent cell-shaded 3D models with Flashy visuals and comic book influenced art/cutscenes,
living colorful backgrounds, epic attacks and Hyper combos, a great soundtrack themed for each character, and great voices that you can set to english or japaneese, (Only the Capcom characters though.) I did get annoyed with the repeating sounds that everyone makes while fighting. But that's just a small complaint I have for this great game.

[Controls]
It plays fine with just the Xbox controller, and you can set certain controls to your liking. In this game, you've got 4 buttons from L, M, H, to S, so pulling off big combos are pretty easy. the analog stick is responsive as it should be, because you're gonna be pointing it in a lot of directions to survive this.

[Gameplay]
Very fast and combo-epic, you can string more moves together to really kick someone while their down. It feels like old fasioned MvC2 in the arcades but newer. There are familiar faces and newcomers in the total group of 48, both groups are fun to play as. (I'm just crazy over Dante.)

Anyway, with this many characters, you're bound to find a favorite fighter. (in this Ultimate version, so almost everyone has been rebalanced and given newer special moves BTW) But like in previous MvCs before this one, there are still a few overpowered characters *Cough-Hulk* *Cough-Nemesis* so you'd do your best not to get caught in a big combo with a hard hitter, or it'll be the end of you, trust me.

[Features]
It's got the features everyone's familiar with - Arcade mode, Verses, Training, Online modes, ect... And this game has a mission mode where you master different combos from each character. There's a gallery mode where you can view character art, and an exclusive comic. You can also play music and voices here, which is always good for a curious eye. You can view models of the characters while learning more about them in Profiles/Model Viewer. Simple stuff really, but I know there'll be a... "select audience" that would probably abuse this in a certain way.

[Final Score]

I highly recommend it. It's good for those of you who are familiar with the MvC series, and great for newcomers who like fighters with flashy combos and great music.

Not good for those who don't like fighters or Capcom games. (or people prone to destroy something IRL in frustration.)
