Day 4, Part One
I groaned and sat up... I was still lying at the bottom of the now empty lake. Up on the bank, the worlds biggest Popsicle still stood there. Groaning, I clawed my way out of the pit, and collapsed near the tree the guy had thrown his equipment at. He had left his shotgun, and his belt behind. Clipped to his belt were two semi-automatic Grand Power pistols. I took them off their holsters and checked their ammo. Weird. They didn't have any bullets. I looked away and pressed the trigger, aiming for a tree. Somehow, it actually fired. I heard a click, like they were reloading themselves. I have two magically reloading pistols. Best day EVER, I thought. I turned their safety on and tossed them in my backpack. I left the shotgun, it was WAY too heavy for me, and I kept trudging along until I found the gas station again. I jumped in over the broken window, and I began grabbing rations. I grabbed candy bars, 3 flashlights, some batteries, aluminum foil, a cigarette lighter(In case I needed to start a fire, and a hunting knife. I also found a GPS, which I used to check my coordinates. Then I saw a phone behind the counter of the clerks desk. I leaped over the counter and picked it up. I dialed a random number to check if it worked. It did. Barely able to contain my excitement, I dialed an old friend of mine. 15 minutes later I walked out of the gas station, with new hope. I had an old friend to see...
