Day 1: Part two
The first thing I noticed was the blinding pain in my right arm...2:00pm: I groaned and clutched my arm. It was bent at a strange angle at the shoulder. I thanked heaven when I realized it was just a dislocated shoulder. The last thing I could recall was being sucked into what looked like a black hole, then I remember connecting with something hard. Everything after that was blank. I winced with pain as I hit my shoulder with my fist. My arm stopped throbbing and my vision cleared up a little. I could see that I was floating on my back In a half submerged cavern. It was strange that it was not fully submerged, being so far underwater, but I was grateful, as my mouthpiece had come undone in the processes of hitting so many things on my way down and I may have drowned while I was unconscious. My brain must have been a little slow, because I was still floating around, and I had not even moved yet. I swam over to a jagged rock and clicked my water-proof flashlight on. I went ahead and removed my Oxygen tank, it was weighing me down in open air. The moment I turned on my flashlight, which was pointing straight down into the murky water, a blinding green light filled the room. I looked around in awe, then, as I looked down, I saw it. The emerald. There it was, sitting On the cavern floor underneath all the water. The emerald must have sunk and had been sucked up into this cavern like I was. I thought it was a little weird that it was at the very back of such a huge cavern, but I pushed the thought aside. I had no time to waste. I quickly dove down and picked it up. I grunted with surprise, it was much heavier than I had anticipated. I managed to stick it in my backpack made of water-proof rubber, I zipped it up, and prepared to go. I knew I would not be able to take my oxygen tank with me, since the emerald was so big there would be no room at all for it. I waded to the exit, and I realized the reason why this place was not completely submerged was because of 1 way drains built into the walls, leading the water back into the ocean. Meaning somebody WANTED me to find this place, meaning this was...a trap. I ducked underwater just as a volley of knives embedded themselves into the wall just inches from my head. I rolled underwater as spears flew from slots in the floor, and they went flying by my side. I turned to late as an iron Katuna blade was launched at me. I tried to leap aside, forgot that I was in water, and only managed to move a couple of inches. The sword blade pierced my shoulder with such force that it sent me flying backward, pinning me to the wall. I smelled something I had only smelled once when I scuba dived before. The deadly venom of the black-banded-sea-krait, a deadly type of water snake. And the tip of the blade that had just pierced my shoulder was completely coated in it. Fighting hard not to pass out, I tried to reach the sword, but the pain was too much. 10 more spears came out of a slot in the wall exactly in front of me. I realized that the system was running off a power source, and it must have a targeting system. The spears re-aligned, pointing at my chest. I helplessly hung there, awaiting death. I groaned in pain, and the spears re-aligned again. Weird. I moved my leg and hit it against the wall, and they targeted my leg. I quickly realized that the targeting system was based off of sound! I had 2 ultra sonic resonators in my pocket, something I had built myself that resonated an almost deadly frequency to sharks. If an object emits the same frequency that the target vibrates on, it will shatter, like glass does when a loud enough noise is made. The cool thing is that EVERYTHING vibrates on a frequency, meaning sound can destroy, kill, or shatter almost anything. It was almost too much to hope for, but it was worth a shot. I clicked on one of them and hurled it at the spear-shooter. Sparks flew out of the walls, and immediately everything shut off. I ripped the sword out of my arm. I knew if I could get to land, where I had left my phone, I could dial a paramedics before I passed out. This type of snake venom took roughly 10 minutes before you get into any real trouble. I swam like a demon, shooting past rocks and crevices. I could only hold my breath for 2 minutes, meaning I would have to swim against the current to get back up, and then it was still a minute long swim to the surface. I struggled against the current, but it was hopeless. I was swimming in place. Then, all the hairs on my head stood straight up. High above me, I could see I was too late. The storm was right above me. I watched as a blue energy wave, something I had NEVER seen a normal storm do in my life, was released outwards, and then hundreds of lightning strikes began to rain down. None had touched the water so far, But it would only take one hit to charge the water enough to kill me. I swam towards the cavern for my life, but it was too late. Time seemed to turn to liquid as I watched the biggest lightning bolt I had ever seen hit the water. I could see as the electrical currents super charge the water, getting closer and closer to me. The lightning bolt itself was on a 1 way stop. Through my chest. I watched as it was only feet away from me, and it was frustrating since I still couldn't move. The main bolt hit straight through me, electricity arcing throughout my entire body. I was then hit with all of the electrical currents, super heating the water all around me. Then, with electricity all around me, I sank into the eternal darkness...
