Is Starfox Dead?

Major Spoilers ahead.

So, Starfox may be dead, but not in the way you think. Just think to yourself. What's the official Starfox timeline? Does it start with the first SNES game? Here, I'm going to explain the timeline of Starfox and their future. So, it's possible that Starfox has 3 separate parallel universes. One spanning from Starfox SNES to Starfox 2 SNES. Star Fox 2 is unreleased but can be found online, which I will not link any circumstances, but is finished. Starfox 2 would of been a definitive sequel to the original. I'd like to still think it's canon in this universe. Okay, so the next universe is Starfox 64. The thing is, Starfox 64 and Starfox SNES is the same war, the Lylat Wars. Starfox 64 is a reimagining of Starfox SNES. So, just like how Starfox Zero, which is another universe, is supposed to be a reimagining of Lylat Wars, Starfox 64 is, too. The Starfox 64 series ranges from 64 to Command on the DS. This is where things may not seem so clear. Starfox 64's timeline is branched at the end, with Command. Command has 9 different endings. Yes, one of the endings COULD be used and Command could be buried, but I don't think covering up a necessary part of a game's timeline is something Nintendo would do. There's really only 2 possible endings for another Starfox 64 timeline game. One where they continue as Starfox, along with Slippy's fiancée and one where Fox Mccloud's son, Marcus Mccloud revives Starfox, along with Falco and the children of Peppy and Slippy. But it would feel incomplete having only 1 ending be the true one.

So, I'm proposing that we're now only going to be getting Star Fox Zero timeline games. I believe the only two games in this timeline are Zero and Guard at the moment.

Now some quick notes I've thought about. Why is the reimagined game always the Lylat Wars? Well, because this was team Starfox's shining moment, and in the later games, it's canon that Starfox is having problems financially since there's no mercenary work to do anymore, in a perfect galaxy. It'd only seem logical to go back to their shining moments. Second, why is there different universes? What happened different in the Lylat Wars to cause different timelines? Well, I believe it's the way James Mccloud died/whatever happened to him. In Starfox SNES, James got lost in a blackhole and was never seen again. In Starfox 64, James was captured by Andross and never seen again. I haven't play Zero, but judging by the technological advancements, I'm assuming maybe the Lylat Wars were delayed. Lastly, what if we get an origin story for the Starfox 64 timeline? Or a game inbetween? Yes, that's very possible, but seeing the way the SNES timeline was never carried on, I have a feeling the 64 timeline won't either.

for you nerds who scrolled down

tl;dr there's 3 parallel starfox universes 2 of them are likely not gonna be used again starfox zero is the new timeline being used the end

I was playing my old starfox games and it got me thinking so I needed to get it off my chest cya
