Link stood before the man who invaded Hyrule. The insidious usurper who slew two guards in cold blood. This fiend, Aganihm, stood before Link as Daphnes lay wounded behind him. Alonzo was seperated from Link so he stood against Aganim alone, ready to battle with him. both glared at each other, waiting for the other to attack first. Link looked behind the mage. He saw Zelda tending to the ill king's health. He still lived but was in poor shape from the apparent battle. Link saw their expressions in a way he never saw before. They looked worried for him: Link never saw Daphnes like that before, let alone Zelda. Seeing them in pain troubled him deeply. Aganihm had them at his mercy, which enraged Link. "Why have you come here? what do you hope to acheve from facing me?"
Link responds with a fierce gaze.
"Do you seek to kill me O' youth?" he asked Link as he became furious of Aganihm.
A small voice rose up behind them. "Link..." Zelda squeeked as she looked at him, with scared eyes. She appeared to be cowering behind the shadow cast by the mage, as if she were only a child. With renewed rage, Link flew at Aganihm and swung toward his head. But a sudden shock of energy corsed through Link's body. Stumbling to his knees, Aganihm strikes Link, sending him backwards. Link felt the air in his lungs driven out as he struck the wall behind him. He gasped for air but was unable to breathe. He felt as if he were drowning. All at once the world around him became darker like a candle snuffed out in the night. He felt as if he were going deaf, the sounds became muffled. He was slowly losing consciousness. He could only watch in horror as Aganihm Approached the frightened Zelda. He fought to stand, but he was unable to move without pain filling his lungs. Becoming powerless to rescue Zelda from her plight had affected Link more than his recent injury. He eventually fell out of consciousness as the world became pitch black.
