In Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver you have Team Rocket calling for their boss obviously he doesn't show up because you the player stop team Rocket before their boss can hear it. Or is that really the case?
The Celebi Time Travel Event blew my mind because you get to battle Giovanni in a cave but before you battle him you hear Team Rockets Call for Giovanni.
You the player battle Giovanni and stop him from going to the Goldenrods Radio Station but the message is still playing Lyra (if you are the boy character) will ask you who is taking on Team Rocket in GoldenRod.
you may not realize is while you are stopping Team Rocket in GoldenRod your future self is taking on Giovanni otherwise Giovanni would have shown up and we may not have taken Golden Rod back.
