Xenoblade Chronicles 3D Review

Story:In the world of Xenoblade Chronicles there are two titans the Bionis and the Mechonis, both having fought for thousands of year reach a deep slumber, skip forwards a couple hundred years and the life of Bionis and Mechonis are at war with each,The Mechon have one purpose, kill any and all life on Bionis, when Colony 9 is attacked by the Mechon you set out on your adventure to get revenge and kill any and all Mechon using the power of the Monado.

Visuals: While this is a port of the Wii version of Xenoblade Chronicles it does take a hit in the Visuals, but not by too much, just a few minor differences here and there, but overall this is still the amazingly Beautiful massive world of Xenoblade Chronicles.

Gameplay:The gameplay of Xenoblade Chronicles is a bit weird to explain but i’ll try my best to explain, using the L&R Buttons you can lock on to enemies doing this will also allow you to begin a battle with said enemy, you will begin thinking “oh,I will you the A button to attack” Well no you don’t, The game runs on an auto attack system, but what you do is select the battle Arts, using the D-pad you can scroll through you art’s and use them to deal more damage, you can also level up your Arts up to level 10 if you get the right advanced Art books,if not, you're stuck with leveling them up to level 7,each character you can control has there own Arts to level up such as Reyn’s Sword Drive,or Shulk’s Backslash, but Shulk’s arts are also special, after a certain point in the game you can level up the Monado Arts to level 10. If you're not fighting enemies you're running around the massive world of Xenoblade, using the Circle pad you move the character you're controlling, moving the C-Stick around allows you to control the Camera which might I add is pretty freakin cool to do. The ZL button allows to Zoom in or out at your pleasure, and the ZR button allows you to open up the skip travel menu. skip travel is these games way of allowing you to go back to other area’s faster, without walking back, thought once again after a certain point a few area’s become unavailable to skip travel to for example,After a Later area in the game you lose access to skip travel to sword valley. I feel Like i'm forgetting something,oh Right,if you hit the B-Button,you can Jump! yeah jumping in a JRPG,you may think well what’s it’s purpose? Well it allows you to jump of course! so if there’s water below you and your high up,you can jump down and take a leap of faith!

Monsters and unique Monsters:while traveling on Bionis you will encounter many types of monsters, from the lonely Bunnia to the might Deino Sarus(No i'm not joking that’s actually it’s name),these enemies can have 4 different kinds of portraits above their heads, black means that you're much stronger and can kill it easily, blue means that it will be easy but still a fun fight. Yellow means that it will be a somewhat difficult fight, and of course, a Red portrait means that it will be a fight that will be extremely hard, monster may also have 4 different ways of beginning a fight with you, while there are monsters that won't bother you, there are some that will. These monster can be Vision,Sound,or Ether based monster, there are also monsters that will have 3 small dots under their names, this means if you fight near them they will join the fight. you may also notice while you're walking around the world of Xenoblade you could fight a very low level monster and then a bit later a Level 80-90 monster, this can be a bit stressing but it’s nonetheless fun.

you may also notice monsters with a bit different portrait above them, these are know as unique monsters and they act as the mini bosses so to speak of this game, there may look like normal monsters, but they are stronger than their normal counterparts, but be warned! These unique types of monsters also have the Five Superbosses in their category, for those unaware,a Superboss in xenoblade means it’s a monster Stronger than level 99,these Superboss range from levels’ 100-120 so if you're going to fight them,be prepared!

final bo-wait? did you think I was going to spoil this!? Heck No! this is something you need for yourself,so let’s talking about the little things real quick, such as the 100% reward, questing and gem crafting and heart to hearts!

For Questing there are in total 498 quest, but you are only able to do 480 of them sense some of them have alternate routes you can take

For Gem Crafting this mechanic in the game allows you give your weapons and armor different effects such as HP up or Spike Resist by a set Percentage

For Hearts to Hearts, this is a bit of an odd one for me,Hearts to Hearts is the game’s way of raising affinity between two party members, and believe me there about 100+ plus Heart to Heart’s in the game

Your 100% reward is kinda something I’ll keep a secret so you can determine if it’s worth your time, but I will say after you beat the game you unlock New Game+ this is not related to the 100% reward as it’s unlocked after you beat the game

So overall I really, really enjoyed Xenoblade Chronicles 3D,my final play time as of this review is around 180-200 hours so it’s very worth the 40 bucks you're spending on it,while it may be a New3DS exclusive I think it works for the system,The combat is fun and enjoyable every moment of the story is fun and enjoyable(Plus BRITISH VOICE ACTORS :D) and with all the content you get in the game it makes it fun to play, just don’t do a 100% Run for your first run,I did that and I swear i'm insane for doing that,I recommend this game for an JRPG enthusiast or someone who’s looking to jump into a Game with a really good and interesting Story, while this game does have it’s issues at times it’s easy to look past them with how amazingly the game plays so my Final Verdict or this game? well for your first time, take it slow and then beat New Game Plus 100% or if you’ve played the wii version do 100% on the New3DS version as well so..from me it get’s a nice 9.5/10

or for you people who love Percentages 95% if you think this is too high or too low well then think of it with the score you would give it,
