I prefer the 3d Mario games. With the 3d, Nintendo can put so much into the 3d games. With the 2d Mario games, not a lot can be added to it. The 3d Mario games are much more creative and beautiful. And also with the 3d Mario games, there is much more to do like run around and explore the levels however you want too. I reccomend the 3d Mario games to anybody who is a fan of the Mario series.

I personally prefer the 3d games over the 2d games but only by a little bit. The extra dimension really adds a whole new world to the mario experience. With games like mario galaxies 1 & 2, which both have a 10/10 ign review. And mario 3d land and world, which also boast 9/10 ign reviews, it's hard to go wrong with a 3d mario game. However, I do love the old mario bros 1,2,&3, and I have fond memories of having bowser fall through the floor of that evil final boss battle in 3. But I tend to prefer the 3d games to the older 2d games.

To be honest, I really prefer the 2d Mario games rather than the 3ds ones because personally I had more fun playing the 2d ones. The 3d Mario games were also great but I played more of the 2d Mario games and not surprisingly since it gives a more classic experience. Some of the new mechanics and stuff really make it fun to play, though the 3d Mario games were also very exemplary :D

I like the 3D games better most likely beacuse they share a better, more open wide area that can lead to endless possibilites in mario games such as mario on planets, that was well done with the concept of 3D wide and open in it. Nintendo took 3D mario and even turned it into Pikmin with super mario 128. That's just my opinion, though.

I prefer 3d platformers. I mostly grew up with 3d platformers too. They are much more creative with more to explore than the 2d platformers. They also have more replayable value out of it. You can do such more with the 3d platformers. I would suggest 3d platformers for anybody who is new to videogames.

2D platformers are easier than 3D ones. In 2D platformers, when you see an enemy, you either go through it, over it or under it. In 3D platformers, you have the option to go wherever you want. However, there is a catch, since you have to deal with the Camera, the bane of 3D games.

I've always liked the 2d-Mario games ^w^ They've always been very fun. I do like the 3d ones but somehow I'm not very experienced with it, as for the first time I tried I found it difficult but still enjoyable. I also like the 2d ones since it's- most of the time -more simpler.

2D games are better in my opinion. I also like 3D Mario games, but it is always the camera angle that screws you up when playing. When the camera rotates, it takes a while for the controls to adjust to the new angle. In 2D Mario games, you don't have to deal with that, except the screen being too zoomed into you.
