I think the gamepad is just awesome!! But there is something that makes it uncomfortable and that is its size, anyway the touchscreen is really cool and gives the player another involvement into the games. To me, the best nintendo controller is that of the gamecube, I think it is the most comfortable of all of them, it just fits rightly into your hands and start playing.

Mine would have to be the SNES controller. Yes, it's a near simpleton; only just hovering above the standard NES controller but the diagonally shaped buttons on the right rather than the horizontal layout of the NES controller and the lack of complexity in the buttons [that thing only had 12 buttons (correct me if I'm wrong, please)] simply worked the charm for me in my opinion.

It would also lead to the development of more sophisticated controllers that will flourish the market as well!

My favourite controller would have to be the GameCube controller, without any doubts. To this date, the GameCube controller is THE most comfortable controller I have held(comparing with Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4 controllers) and its button placement is perfect for every type of game. I have played Super Smash Bros. Melee with it for 5 years, and sometimes I confuse the button layout on the Wii Classsic Controller for the one on the GameCube xP

I would have to say the GameCube controller.

My favorite game controller would be the Nintendo GameCube controller. I first got one when I got ocarina of time and Majoras mask for the Wii. I like the button configuration and the way it sits in your hands. It is really comfortable and all the buttons are within comfortable finger reach.

Just curious. What do all of you believe the greatest nintendo controller is? Is it the NES that started it all? The gamecube with a comfortable design. Or the Wii U, a controller that has a screen. My personal favorite is the Gamecube but N64 for Mario Kart. I don't know if its nostalgia but Mario Kart feels confortable for me when playing Mario Kart 64. Can't wait to hear any replies:thumbsup:
For class and retro type feel, the NES controller, but for comfort, definetly the GameCube...it all depends on the way you like your controllers. I personally do not like the wii U Pad controller, just because the 2nd screen is not very necessary...but, it is a nice feature.

My favorite is the Gamecube controller. It has the feel of a normal controller, and the Wii remote kinda feels awkward in Brawl. I'm not really one for motion controls, either. Plus, there's some great titles on the Gamecube that make it ever more special.

I think that my favorite Nintendo controller of all time would have to be the new Pro Controller for the Switch. Ask anyone who owns one, and they'll tell you that it is the most comfortable controller they've ever held. Even the developers behind the Xbox 1 and PS4 controllers complimented the Switch controller on its excellent design, supreme comfort, and convenient button layout.
