World Ender
Towns Folk
They have a certain kind of feel to them... like a puzzle, I suppose you could compare it to. They had soul. They were simple, cute, yet enjoyable. Most had more charm than half the games you see nowadays - especially AAA titles.
I like to play them sometimes for that certain charm. It's a kind of dopamine you can't really find anymore. Those games could do in two hours of gameplay what some modern ones can't do in fifty. Calming, in a sense, and beautiful in its simplicity. No games have that kind of charm anymore. It's all AAA games that rely on spec.
Some try, but I still have yet to see any modern games that can replicate that. Maybe it's a reminder that past times are gone and will never come back. All that childish happiness I once had will never again return.
