Rath jumped when he heard the gunshot but it was nothing compared to the leap he made to reach Ayros and Vahn.
He tackled them both with almost too much force and laid them out flat on the ground above them 3 splinters of steel whizzed by one of them pierced Rath right in the shoulder.
"Yeah genius attract more attention thats....aah....thats exactly what we need right now"Rath's shoulder hurt it was an unbearably pricking pain that he had never experienced before.
"you think they aren't watching us" Lara said while plunging a half broken beer bottle in the throat of a crawling man."they want us to do this,they enjoy watching us do this but it looks like its almost over now"There was a ting of crazy in Lara's voice,Rath wasnt sure if it was the default amount of crazy that Lara was entitled to or if it were the screeches of dying children and the blood she was covered in that was affecting her

there had to be only 50, it didn't matter who killed them it was either the blissful kids unjustly brought to cold stream or the authorities who run the place either way there could only be fifty survivors.....that is if they let there be at least 50.

"Argh..." Ayros had forgotten about the bottle shards still in his back, but they were back now, and hurt more than ever. "Lara, y'know how I asked you to pull glass outta my back?" he asked, "Well, now would be a good time to do that..."

Lara was still looking a bit crazied from the action. She turned to Ayros, looking like a feral animal about to pounce. Seeing her friends look a bit startled by this, she calmed down. "Yea sure, I'll do that." She walked over and started tearing out shards of glass, pulling out bits of skin as well, without any hint of trying to be gentle

(you guys are so causual xD people are fighting left and right and here you guys are removing shards of glass from each others back as if you guys are life long friends who accidentally got in a bar fight)

(What are friends for if not for brutally yanking shards of glass out of your back from a barfight that said friend started? XD)

Lara finished picking the shards of glass out of Ayro's back when she turned around to keep fighting. However, she failed to noticed a kid sneaking up on her, and stabbed her in the stomach. "Urk...guh....uhhh..." Lara turned to the kid, and when he lunged at her again with the knife, she dodged, grabbed his arm, and broke it before putting him in a headlock and snapping his head. Just then, an alarm sounded and a loudspeaker began to blare a voice. "ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS, THERE ARE ONLY 50 LEFT. CEASE FIGHTING AND ASSEMBLE WITHIN AN HOUR AT THE ROOM." Lara smiled. She survived...then the adrenaline left her body. Feeling dizzy, Lara stumbled, and began seeing nothing...

"The room...the hell? Does he mean that giant assembly hall east of here?" Vahn said. "Hey guys, just in case they try to pull something, we should stay armed..."

Ayros immediately grabbed Lara before she could hit the ground.

"Forget that," he said. "I'm gonna go find somewhere where I can actually treat her. I'm an uncertified doctor, y'know," he said with a laugh, as if there wasn't a bloodbath in progress only seconds ago.

"You sure?" Ayros asked, his eyes wet but tearless. He looked away from Vahn as soon as he could. "You really gonna be able to do it, Doc?" he joked, only half-heartedly.

"Yeah. I got lots of medical training. All I need is a first aid kit and I'll be set." Vahn said, looking at Lara's stomach wound.

(I feel like I'm playing amateur surgeon here XD)

"Where'd you learn to Doctor, Vahn?" Ayros asked casually.

"I studied it a little in high school, but my parents taught me the rest." Vahn said. "The gash that Lara has is pretty deep, luckily, judging from the positioning of the knife wound, I'd say the kid missed any vital organs. All I need to do is stitch up the wound and she'll be fine." Vahn spotted a cupboard in the corner in the room and searched it. "Yes! And it has everything in here!" Vann took the first aid kit over to Lara and took out a needle and a bottle of painkillers, and stitched Lara's wound. "Go ahead and take one of these." Vahn passed her the bottle.

"Mind if I snatch one, too? Lara wasn't gentle in the slightest, to be honest," Ayros said, shooting a quick worried glance at Lara.

Lara regained consciousness and noticed she was on the floor surrounded by her friends. She also noticed Ayros shooting her a worried glance, and quickly sat up. Ignoring the searing pain,she smiled and said "well, seeing how I got stabbed for you, I definitely deserve a beer."

"Dammit Lara, take it easy for a while." Vahn said handing her a beer.

(Kekekekekeke I'm no doctor, but isn't it a bad idea to consume alcohol right before taking drugs?)
Lara took the beer and pills, mixed them together and gulped it down within 3 seconds. "I feel better already" she sighed contently

Lara then twitched, before attempting to make herself throw up. "WHAT THE HELL?!?! THAT WASNT BEER!!" She jumped up in a rage, which ended up being a bad idea, and she had to grip a curtain to still be able to stand.

"Well, at least we know you can move, I had to give you that non-alcoholic bullcrap to make sure you could still move." Vahn said. "I'll give you the real stuff later."

Lara vowed to shoot Vahn later. Feeling her wound and relieved that it didn't seem too bad, she asked the others to tell her what happened when she was out. 10 minutes later, she was caught up. "Hmm...you know, it's almost been an hour. We should probably start moving over there."
