Lara noticed a shiny new sniper rifle loaded with all sorts of sexily deadly equipment. In the mist of grabbing that and a chainsaw, she vaguely wondered why they'd give them so many weapons just for guard duty...and what exactly they were guarding against....

While waiting for the others to find their gear, Ayros thought of something. This thought led to him rifling through everything in sight until he found not one but two of what he was looking for.

He cleared his throat to get everyone's attention and, whilst brandishing his newly acquired items, he said, "I'm driving."

"I think I remember my name now" The mysterious character said in a hushed voice. The rest of the people around him turned and stared.

"My name is Jane. WAIT NO ZANE! Zane Jackson" Zane said barely remembering.

"All I have is this frying pan" Zane said in disappointment.

"Also, how they know I'm a future criminal?"

"These guys are professionals. Coldstream Correctional looks at all your background information to determine if you'll be a threat to society in the future, and unfortunately, we all got the boot." Vahn had explained. Vahn had looked around in the weapons until he had found a nicely sized sword to his liking, and two pistols go go along with. "Nice...." Vahn said. Then Vahn took one look at Lara and realized the best distance between them would be 5 meters, given how dangerous she is now...

"Dammit Ayros! I wanted to drive!" Vahn complained, even though Vahn knew he didn't have a driver's license.

"How about this. You can drive it as long as it's not a Vette," Ayros promised, noting the Chevy logo on the keys.

After finding the car, a 2014 Chevy Silvarado, and listening to Vahn complain, they drove off to Sector A (a colder area with little life there, and snow and mountains as far as the eye could see.). It got progressively darker as they drove, and eventually it began to snow. Lara passed the time by taking a drink, but tensed up as the falling snow began to pick up heavily, making it almost impossible to see outside. "You CAN see right? I'd rather you not drive off a cliff."

"Are you kidding? Of course I can see," Ayros said, squinting. He had switched off with Vahn, who was sleeping in the backseat, and was speeding along the icy roads. "Y'know, maybe it's a good thing we didn't get a Vette. It would've sucked trying to drive out here in such a low-set vehicle..."

Lara chugged another beer and decided to sleep some. She closed her eyes...

"SKIIIRT!" Ayros yelled, taking a sharp turn and drifting away from a cliff that could have ended the adventure right there. His eyes widened as he realized what he had just done. However, with an idea that the storm could only get worse with time, he kept going, even faster now, narrowly avoiding death at every turn.

They made it about halfway there before tragedy struck. They ran out of gas. And to make things worse, the snow fall became a snowstorm, and the sun was about to set. Lara looked up at the sky, and muttered "well, we're screwed." The radio on the truck picked up. Lara grabbed it and listened to the voice. "This is the base at Sector A, we've received word that your car has broken down. Due to the weather, we won't be able to get you until tomorrow. Hold out for tonight. And be careful of th..In...fe...d...su....v...e...." The static became unbearably loud.

New objective: Survive the night

"I bet a Corvette wouldn't have run out of gas so quickly," Ayros said bitterly. He sighed, and told Lara to get some sleep, as he'd take the first watch.

(I know you've been responded Genos, I just wanted to make sure most of the group was online before starting something major. I'll give it a couple more minutes before continuing, in the vain hope that @Axel will come back to us.)

Ayros was keeping watch over the truck, but nothing was happening, and he seemed to be fighting the urge to fall asleep himself...he had almost given and closed his eyes when he heard a growling noise. Opening his eyes, he sees a figure standing near the truck, still growling.

Ayros cleared his throat and simply said, "Lara?" whilst tapping her on the shoulder.

Lara was afraid Ayros was gonna kiss her again, so she woke up Zane and told Ayros to bug him instead. She was about too go back to sleep when she heard the growling noise. However, due to everyone being distracted waking each other up, none of them noticed that they were completely surrounded by humanoid figures whos mouths and eyes were leaking some black substance, and had strange marks on their bodies. Slowly as they could, they grabbed their weapons and began to strategize
