Syn: Did you check in the desk's drawers? No? Let's go.

The students followed Black into the secret room.

They found in the desk drawers papers listing the names of the big-time execs who were financing the academic colosseum. Most of them were owners of rich Japanese companies that paid only microsalaries to regular employees and obscenely high wages to the CEOs.

Syn: Ha, we should keep this. Once we get out, we'll turn it over to the police. And now, to put the puppetmaster on trial. Ready, guys?

Black: the dust on the table is strangd....

(Black cannot check the table cuz he not have the power of plot maker :p)

Czar:Are we sure we want to go through with this? We don't really have much to go on....

(You know, realistically, turning in that sheet wouldn't do anything. It's not like they'd get arrested just because they were funding the school)

Riko cuddled Monokuma closer to her chest as she peered at the names of the companies on the papers.

Riko: The names wont help much either, these companies fund loads educational things whenever they have some scandal going on. It's only Japanese based companies though. That could mean something.

Academic colosseum tho :panda:

The students cleared the dust off the table on Black's insistence.

Beneath it was a message in dried blood because dried blood is ominous.

"Beat it, punks."

So the students beat it and went outside :p

Czar:Are we sure we want to go through with this? We don't really have much to go on....
Syn: We've got the Puppetmaster cornered now. The only reason I'm insisting on starting it after getting to the courtroom is that we can only discuss his identity openly in a Class Trial. All we need to do is trust each other.

(Happy happy friendship camaraderie)

Monokuma came alive all of a sudden and jumped clear of Riko's clutching appendages.

Monokuma: Ha! Trust! Upupu... when all the time you had a mole among you! Daahahaha, you lot are really a bunch of simpletons. The mole, ladies and gentlemen... is RIKO OGATA, FARMER EXTRAORDINAIRE!

(inb4 "I'm a gardener dammit" :p)

Monokuma: And what a sordid thing she agreed to being a mole over too. "Don't tell them my secret," she said. "I'll spy for you if you just keep it hushed," she said. Bah! Didn't any of you think her secret I unveiled was ridiculous? Turf wars! Upupupu, I just got that idea playing GTA in my Monokuma theatre, but you lot are probably too innocent to know it, right?

Well, it was pretty useless the stuff she told me, I learned as much from the security cameras... although she did fill me in on Vale's pointless death plan. The main thing was, I enjoy breeding mistrust between young 'uns like y'all. But then Miss Farmer Girl got cold feet and started trying to frighten me back; always making guesses about who I am, it's enough to drive anyone crazy! So there you have it, she's your mole.

Oh, I almost forgot - in revenge for her trying to scare me, I'll share her secret. Gotta love secrets. It's nothing much, really... she dug up her dead daddy and burned his bones, then used the ashes to fertilize her Blue Ribbon-winning competition plant. "My plants need calcium and phosphorus badly." I invited her here because I was so sure that she'd kill someone in a hurry, but she's been disappointing. And anyway, what's so bad about digging up a corpse?

So, are you guys going to tear her to pieces for spying on you and contributing to some unhappy deaths, or what? Upupu, I'll watch.

(silence)

Well? Didn't you hear what I said? She - spied? GOD YOU FRUSTRATING UNMURDERSOME CHILDREN!

Toxic: yea, you can't get in the way of true love like Black X Riko!
(And going back to the list thing, they still wouldn't nessecarily be arrested. Just because they funded it doesn't mean they would know what they were funding. They could easily claim they thought they were just funding a school)

Riko took a deep breath and told her tale.

Riko: I didn't always dream of being a gardener. I wanted to draw like my dad did, every Sunday we would drive out to this park by our apartment. He would draw the things i would bring him. He used to say that I always knew where to find the best flowers for him to draw. when i was six he got sick, COPD they said. It was so bad he spent most of the time at the hospital. The nurses said i couldn't bring in the stuff i would find. So i started growing them. Daisies, sunflowers, snapdragons, anything I could grow. He loved them, he'd call me his little garden child. When I was 12 i crossbred two lilies together to make this pinkish one. I found out he died the night before. The next day i went to live with my mom. I spent my time gardening, i was his garden child after all. I grew a moonflower that look almost luminous at night, he loved drawing them. My mom entered them in a competition, i wasn't ready. I wanted my dad with me, he told me once that he he would always be with me. In my 13 year old mind i went to the extreme. Monukoma was wrong about one thing, my dad was cremated. I used the ashes for fertilizer yes, but i never dug up his body. I used the ground from the park we would go to when i was little. Those flowers meant a lot to me. I wasn't that i needed calcium and phosphorus. I just wanted him to be a part of them so i could always have them with me.
I told Monokuma about Vale's plan after it was set in stone. Anything that if he acted on it he would end up keeping us alive.
I was honestly planning on killing myself and making sure everyone know my suspicions about who the mastermind was. Apparently we actualy already went to school here. Thats how he knows all these things, he wiped our memory so we wont know who he is. I don't even really know who he is, all i know is that we're close to finding out who he is. When we do i want five minutes alone with him.

One phrase registered with Syn.

Syn: Five minutes alone? Like that Pantera song? :hungry: Anyway, Keith Richards snorted his dad's ashes, didn't he? Nothing too bad, like you said, Monokuma. Now, I think it's time to put you on trial and then give you your special, extreme punishment.

Monokuma: Upupu... what the [censored!] What's the use of ... those execs ... you see if I don't ... [censored!] all of you!

Monokuma pattered away, but our heroes went to the courtroom because he was going to have to show up, whether he wanted to or not.

(I'll be back tomorrow, and hopefully we'll have an active class trial like the first one and then a violent gory punishment with a warning at the start for extremeness \: D/)

Syn:
Well... here we are.

The characters, minus Monokuma, stepped into the elevator and descended deep into the ground...

A deadly judgment... A deadly deception... A deadly betrayal... A deadly riddle, a deadly defense, a deadly faith... A deadly...class trial...!

Monokuma grudgingly showed up, cursing under his breath, and sat on the throne instead of at one of the stands. No one questioned him.

Nonstop Debate

Syn: Let's get started. Touko Fukawa was murdered by the puppetmaster - the time is irrelevant. Her eyes were gouged out by a towel, her wrists were impaled by her own Genoscissors, her tongue was removed and her mouth was full of crystal shards...

  • #1,036
Riko: the towel was found in the pool and the shards most likely came from a crystal ball

  • #1,037
Syn: In effect, the murder weapons were specialties of three former Hope's Students; the Puppetmaster was also a Hope's Student when Junko Enoshima lost it. The Swimmer, the Shaman and the Bookworm. The Bookworm is, of course, the victim, so she's ruled out. But it's always possible the murderer used these weapons on purpose to divert our suspicions.

  • #1,038
Riko: if that's the case, who would know about it?

  • #1,039
Monokuma: YOU DON'T, THAT'S THE POINT, ISN'T IT! Upupu... the murderer said give up now. You haven't a chance.

  • #1,040
Toxic: hmm...I dunno, the time would be pretty revelant. If we knew the time, we could start interrogating people on what they were doing at that time. At the very least, it would help give us some more info to work with
