You just failed Nintendo class my friend because there was a Boxing G&W game and that could be counted as fighting.

there has to be some fighting or boxing in AC cause why else would villager get boxing gloves?

I do not agree with the R.O.B part. Most people who bought a NES at launch probably got the big box which came with him so he is almost important as putting Mario in the game. And for Pichu it is believed that since there was so much hate for him as a pokemon they evolved him into the pikachu in brawl. Other than those two things made a lot of sense

pikachu was in melee, brawl, and the original 64. pichu was just cut from any other super smash brothers game. and well ill admit R.O.B was cool, but he didnt sell as well as people think. he only has 2 compatible game. he can only play 2 games. if he only has two games for him then he wasnt the best nintendo idea. plus have you ever seen rob in action. hes sooooooooooo slow. id just be better to use the 2 player controler. and acnl villager, idk why he has boxing gloves. but look at his balloon up special. thats a move copied off of the great nes game balloon fight. and proof, they have a balloon fight stage in ssb 3ds. so the boxing gloves probably were copied out of punch out. but just for the record. no, thier is no fighting, and or enemys in ac. in ac they just want to be friend and live together in peace. im not saying hes a bad charecter, but he just dosent belong in a fighting game.

I didn't get Pichu, sure I love Pichus, but it was just a downgrade of Pikachu and why make it unlockable. Wii Fit Trainer because one minute, she teaches you how to stretch those muscles, next minute she uses the lessons you learned to crush you. Snake because he is to realistic for the world of Nintendo, Duck Hunt, because the hunter shoots the DUCK, why is he shooting a different person then the duck. Captain Falcon because he only drives cars in his game, now he's Falcon Punching everything, They made his whole moveset up.

I don't feel Wii Fit Trainer belongs. A plain, basic character that no one really cares about. How many of you got emotionally attached to Wii Fit Trainer and almost shed tears when the game, Wii Fit, ended?

(I doubt it ever ended, so damn those chocolate brownies :p)

smashmaster i totally agree. even with duck hunt dog. but you know what they see. the enemy of your enemy is your friend. so it could just be a temperary partnership.and wiifit trainer, ya i agree. the only reason i felt she fit in was because of her tiquando exercises. i mean if she knows how to fight, i say let her in

I love having R.O.B in there but why Duck Hunt Dog? I hated that game as a kid, and still hate that bloody smirk. Pac-man and Wii Fit Trainer are weird but meh. Whatever to them.

ya, i agree. pacman is the replacement for Snake. since pacmans from a 3rd party company. and R.O.B I loved his role in Subspace Emissary. it was so sad and awesome at the same time. watching his brothers die before him, because ganon controlled them. but in the end, he broke free from ganons grasp but was almost destroyed by his own brothers. Thats the only reason why I liked him. I just don't believe he should of been a fighter. and Duck Hunt, well the only reason Nintendo added him is because he was the one of the very first Nintendo games. he came in a pack with Mario. So Nintendo just thought he deserved a spot, which I kind of saw coming since they added Megaman, which should of been in since Melee.

Let me throw this out here

Smash isn't about "fitting in." It's about showing off Nintendo's iconic and obscure franchises and characters. One doesn't need to know how to fight, or to have enemies, to be a Nintendo character. They just need to be in Nintendo games. Why wouldn't characters like Villager and Duck Hunt fit in? They are part of Nintendo's history. Having a possible moveset is the last thing a character would need to worry about to be in smash. Do you think the Ice Climbers, fan-favorite smash characters, know any fighting moves besides jumping and swinging a hammer?

Ok. IKE can take damage with his neutral B. Pichu is not the only one that can hurt himself.

I agree with snake and rob but the fillager fits perfectly in smash bro because his moves are on point and if you think he is medocre then face me in super Smash Bros 3ds :D that is my second favorite character in the game. I have beaten people consecutive times in smash bros with him and you can be next lol. Im joking but seriously, he fits in good.

The ones I see not fitting are only Snake and Rosalina and Luma.
I'm not getting into Melee because honestly, I wasn't alive in the GameCube era.
Snake is unfitting to me because hfirst of all he was an actual realistic human. Don't get me wrony, I know there are plenty of human Nintendo characters but Snake was the most realistic being in (for my knowledge) in a realistic-fiction world, and he uses an actual gun for his Final Smash (from what I remember). I also agree he didn't really fit in with the story.
Next I have R&L. Don't get me wrong, I know they replaced Ice Climbers because of hardware limitations. They just seem out of place here to me. First it was in Mario spin-offs such as Mario Kart, but now in smash, it doesn't really seem right.
Villager seems fine. Being part of a popular Nintendo series, I can see them fitting in more. And although the game is non-violent, he isn't really using weapons (if you exclude the boxing gloves) just stuff like umbrellas, trees and fireworks.
and I'm not trying to be rude, but you guys should really work on your grammar. It isn't too great from what I've seen.

R&L didn't replace anyone there is no such thing as replacing a character in the smash brothers series. Also why are they out of place you didn't relly go into detail you just said how you didn't like them in MK and SSB and left it there.

I think the Koopalings are really unfitting compared to all the other Mario characters. At least R&L represented a new type of platformer and has since been in main series and Kart games alike. Why on earth would we need Koopalings if we already have Bowser? They don't represent anything different but perhaps Sunshine and newer main series Mario titles. Sure Bowser Jr. was the co-villain of Galaxy but no one really cares. The Koopalings do have personality, but they'd better off be just trophies. Snake was alright adding his own spin and humor to a mainly cartoon based name, but he was also tactical and unique and to fill in a spot for Konami. One of the Belmont's would've been better at this however we already have a whip-lashing Zero Suit Samus. Everyone else fits in because they stand for something other than, oh this person just shoots projectiles, or this person only uses counter to win, they are all well rounded fighters. Some are just more tolerable than others.

If Smash doesn't allow Wii Fit to be represented, then what game will?

Rosalina, Bowser Jr, and the Koopalings are all Mario characters, so of course many people know who they are, and there is so much to pull from when it comes to their movesets. Rosalina is a fan-favorite character from Galaxy, and everyone who has played the game knows of the many different powerups and abilities from that game. Jr and the Koopalings are recognizable villains from New Super Mario Bros. which was a very popular game. With the inclusion of the Clown Car, there are many possibilities of a moveset.

yeah. personaly i didnt want the clown car to be added, cause i wanted bowser jr to fight with the paint brush. but ill give the credit for making the clown car a pretty good wepon

This is the eternal thread of this game : We think that some smashers can be replaced by others fighters more efficient.

In my opinion, even some copies of some fighters deserves their place in this game : Luigi is slower than Mario, but his attacks are more stronger if it touches its targets nicely ; Lucina's hits are always in the same level, but for Marth, his attacks are efficient only if it touches the opponent with the point of the blade, and so forth...

And furthermore, all the fighters have their abilities, their fighting style. For me, this diversity in the cast is a plus for the game. Anyway, I love this game !!!
