I personally have a specific mod in mind called 4XM which basically puts melee's mechanics into smash 4. Its honestly pretty hype.

I like both Smash on 3DS and WiiU. 3DS for the portability and Smash Run and Wii U for the better online and overall gameplay.

But of course! After all, we still need some kind of Smash game to play while we wait for Smash Ultimate! Smash 3DS fits the bill perfectly. It’s portable, has unlimited replay value, and playing with friends never gets old!

I play my copy of Smash 3DS all the time, actually. It's a great game, and I don't understand why anyone would dislike it.

As soon as the Wii U version was released, I never played Smash on the 3ds again. The controls on the 3ds don't feel natural enough to play a fast paced game like Smash Bros.

Smash 3DS is probably always gonna be the most portable version of Smash Bros, but the Wii U (and Smash Bros. Ultimate) outclasses it in every way. The graphics, the number of content, and overall, the ease of play.

Super Smash Bros 4 Wii U outclasses Super Smash Bros 4 3DS in just about every way, but it's still a solid entry to the series. Nintendo did a very good job making a portable Smash game. The graphics were pretty solid and the music was great. The unique stages were also great as well.
Also Wii U Smash Run is awful compared to 3Ds's Smash Run. 3D's Smash Run was SO much fun imo. The map was humongous, and the idea of fighting against many different enemies on a maze to get power ups in a small amount of time was pretty good. The CPUS were way too easy on the final battle though.
Unfortunately if I remember correctly, there's no way to assign the percentages for the music to play. That's a bummer.
