Favorite PS1 Game?

What was your favorite game on the Original PlayStation? Any games are allowed, although I'd prefer no remakes. Mine was either FF9 or Dragon Quest 7.

I would say Marvel vs Capcom but it's a port

Mine will be Final Fantasy VII, the game I most finished in that console.

I haven't owned a PS1 (or any Sony console for that matter) but Metal Gear Solid seems to be a really good game (at least, based on the video playthrough I saw of it xD)

Metal Gear?! Metal Gear Solid Fans will recognize that joke, and that's why on the misquotation thread I made a Twin Snakes joke, MGS1 I can't believe I forgot, one my favorite games ever, let alone on PS1, easily my favorite PS1 game, in fact it's sitting on my head board right now.

It's not a spoiler for me, in fact I did a video that took his *spoiler* and added Grooses theme, my friends (huge MGS fans) were so annoyed.

If you had played the earlier games (Not NES they were butchered "ports" of the MSX games) then the Ninja has a huge backstory.

Yeah, you mean the Metal Gear games? Like, with one of those games having Big Boss as the final boss and burning him with a makeshift flamethrower?

Yup. You had to save Gray Fox in the first one and in the second one he pilots Metal Gear Against you.

I never played Driver although Hogs of War was a decent strategy game. What was driver like? A racer?

Mostly mission based, so things like getaways, delivering things etc. I guess it'd be easiest to describe it as 3D GTA before GTA turned 3D, but just driving based stuff, no on foot/shooting etc. This would be a good video to get an idea of how it plays - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRNt0rpD0V0

no, not the same. The same games that were re-released for PS1 are Megaman X3, and Rockman 5 (have both). Everything else is released in PS1 only (Megaman 8, Megaman X4-X6, Megaman Legends, Legends 2, and Misadventures of Tron Bonne).

Ahhh I see. Yeah, I guess that was the point where Megaman was more prominent on the Sony consoles (although Megaman is returning back to Nintendo briefly for SSB4 fortunately)
