Ok, so we've got a lot more details on Hyrule Warriors, in this week's issue of Famitsu magazine, let me know what you think:
Sheik:
- Toys with her enemies with ninja like movement
- Uses the harp as her main weapon
- Also carries knives
- With the harp she can play magical melodies to assign various elemental attributes and to attack with that attribute
- With the power of flame Sheik can drop flaming boulders on enemies
- If you perform “unleash of magical power”, you can use the power of lightning to sweep enemies
- Sheik speaks in a mysterious way that has hidden hints of the future
- Sheik is addressed as a brave warrior from the Sheikah tribe; there is no word that she is Zelda
- In the story, Sheik appears before Link and co. and suggests cooperation

Princess Ruto:
- She uses magic to summon water, move and attack
- Ruto can also unleash power that has been gathered from attacks to shoot water
- She is proud but has a gentle heart

Lake Hylia:
- When Cia twisted dimensions, lake’s surroundings were influenced with ice
- Sheik and Impa encounter hostile Zelda in the water temple
- Zelda also has company in the form of some monsters
- Sheik aims the mirror of truth towards the person who looks like Zelda and… (Famitsu doesn’t finish the sentence)

Darunia:
- Has superhuman strength and handles the heavy hammer with ease
- His specialty is a rolling attack
- He can also summon the power of fire by hitting the ground

Death Mountain:
- Sheik and Impa walk towards Death Mountain to stop some monsters
- On the way they encounter a fairy who tells them that unusual things have happened
- Sheik and Impa then speed up their travel
- But does that fairy shout “Hey!” with robust voice?

Impa:
- Uses halberd with a fire element
- Can attack enemies with giant blades
- Can also create walls of fire to pincer enemies’ movement or create dragon of flames to burn down enemies

Lana:
- Uses a big branch and lends the power of the Deku Tree
- Uses seeds, leaves, and roots to attack - Can plant seeds into the ground
- The seed will soon grow and when the transformation is complete it will unleash attacks; you can ride the Deku child
- She can use the Deku Leaf from Wind Waker to blow enemies away from a large range

Faron Woods:
- Original stage for this game
- The center piece of the forest is the Great Deku Tree which is huge and has many branches
- Great Deku Tree acts as a guardian deity
- People have built a village in the forest; they can take shelter in the caves of the great tree

Other:
- You can pick force shards or kill enemies to build up knockout/musou attack meter
- When it is full you can unleash a powerful knockout attack which attacks enemies from a wide area
- There are also items that build up a magic meter
- When full, you can perform “unleash of magical power”
- This effect lets you attack faster

Boomerang:
- You can obtain the boomerang from a treasure chest and use it as an item
- If the boomerang hits an enemy, it will make it stand still for a short amount of time
- You may also acquire strengthening item which transform the boomerang into the Gale Boomerang
- Gale Boomerang springs forth a tornado which will make enemies float
- If enemies are hit when they are midair they will take more damage than usual

Skulltulas:
- There are 100 Gold Skulltulas in the world
- One will appear as an enemy if certain special conditions are met
- If you slay one, you will get an illustration piece
- You can find information about Skulltulas in the stage select screen
- You will know that a Skulltula has appeared from a spider web like marker on the map which also pins down the location
- Then you have limited time to find and slay it
- If you are nearby, you will hear a rustling sound
- In the picture, one of the Skulltulas is under some large boulder so bombs are needed to uncover it
- Skulltula appearance is related to used weapon/character, at least in some cases

Weapon bags:
- You can pick weapon bags from slayed enemies
- Obtained weapons are random and you won’t know how good the weapon is until you clear the stage
- You can also find “sealed weapons” from treasure boxes
- These increase the amount of types of weapons that a character can use

Weapon information screen:
1. Weapon name; in the picture it is a variation of Biggoron’s Sword.
2. Rarity of the weapon. More stars means rarer.
3. Attribute. There are fire, water, lightning, light and darkness. If you use attribute that enemy is weak for, the damage will increase.
4. Attack power.
5. Skill (in picture “rupee increase”).
6. Sealed skill. Needs to fill requirements to unlock. In the picture, you need to kill 3000 enemies
7. Empty slot. You can fill these in the junk shop. At maximum you may have 8 skills.

More details on weapons/shopping:
- Junk shop is part of the shopmall
- In junk shop you can compose stronger weapons by switching skills
- Ex: swap a skill from a powerful weapon into your favorite weapon
- There are limits on how many skills of a same skill group you can have in one weapon at once
- It seems that the weapon from which the skill is swapped from will turn into materials and so it is lost

Im really going to love this hyrule warrior game due to nintendo taking a new take on the legend of zelda series by turning it into a 4 player multiplayer game. People have been waiting years for nintendo to do this!

When I first saw a video for this game, I thought it would be just a small little eShop download to keep Zelda fans occupied until Zelda U. However, with the additions of characters like Darunia along with some pretty awesome gameplay, the game seems to be shaping up quite nicely. I hope it won't be a full 60 dollar game though because that would be slightly off-putting.

This is going to be the next and one of the best (not better than OOT) zelda games ever made. Multiplayer in a zelda game......ive been waiting for this forever.

I don't doubt for a second it will be an excellent game. The monster- fighting action and multi-player will make it a solid spin-off from the main Zelda games. I'm excited to see how this all turns out.

It does look amazing! These are the moments I wish I owned a Wii U >.< For select games like this! If only they released Hyrule Warriors for the 3DS... That would make my whole 3DS experience two times better! :D I guess i'll just have to wait for super smash bros 3D to satisfy my fighting craves :/ (Maybe a hyrule warriors remake for a handheld in the future nintendo? sounds like it would work!) I'm excited for ssb 3D coming out in less than 2 months tho!! Just can't wait! Love the super smash bros series in the whole of it! The 3D experience of it will bring a whole new look to the game!

I've already pre-ordered it, it looks amazing, I've played Dynasty Warriors before, and I enjoyed that quite a lot, so I can't wait to see how this plays out. I've only seen the first trailer, and haven't looked into the game much, just so spoilers aren't given away, and I can figure it out on my own. May I ask, when is the game coming out? This is the one thing I'm too lazy to look up, and have forgotten.

I think Hyrule warriors is a good game but it's sort of hard but i just think that's just me.

I never once had an issue with difficulty while playing the game, though I was playing on easy because I didn't feel like playing on hard.

I enjoyed it quite a bit, it has a LOT of content which is nice but I think the story was pretty...I don't know how to word it, silly, I guess?

Great game! I wouldn't necessarily say its HARD, but there are quite a few levels where it feels like you NEED two players to properly cover the battlefield. Story was meh... Acceptable I guess... The two things that piss me off about it are that they SHOW navi, which is great, but she only gets like 30 seconds... The second thing is that in majoras mask dlc, they didn't have a SINGLE good thing for Skull Kid... Heck, they could have given Wizro a Skull Kid re-skin and it would have been great!

I love Hyrule Warriors! It's basically a Dynasty Warriors game, but with Legend Of Zelda characters. I prefer playing as Link, since he's the main character. This game also has some pretty good DLC. I actually believe that Nintendo is the only company that does DLC correctly. This game is fun, and makes you feel powerful. You are one person cutting down hoards and hoards of enemies. That is the best thing about that game. The music sounds sort of like a cross between Legend Of Zelda and Dynasty Warriors music, letting you know that it's its own game, only a spin off.

It does look fun, but I've been hesitant to buy it because I feel like it's too repetitive.

(Super) 3DS version announced, mfw.

Totally getting it, the version presumably has all of the already released DLC and adds Tetra and that king guy from Wind Waker:

There was a video (intended for E3) that was accidentally uploaded on KOEITECMOofficial, but it was taken down quite fast. Thankfully I still have the tab open.

I really hope that all the already released DLC is on it but it's sort of a wishful thinking :( I'll cross my fingers for it!

Seeing as Tingle is on the box and he's DLC in the Wii U version, I think that's pretty likely.
