I played MH Freedom on the PSP a bit and didn't like it.
I downloaded the MH4U demo for 3DS and didn't like it.
For some reason, I still bought MH4U. And I love it. I have no reason why I used not to like it or why I like it now but maybe you should play a bit more, you may discover things that you didn't see while just testing ?
Of course, I am not saying "keep playing and you will like it", maybe you'll never like it. It's just that I was too in a situation where I didn't like MH but it was only because I overlooked things.
