AC:HHD Is Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer worth it?

I think that HHD is a pretty neat Animal Crossing game, but it is simply not my style. In my opinion, it plays out much more like a spinoff title than a regular animal crossing game does, and, additionally, it focuses too much on Amiibo, which I like, but do not need to be a somewhat central focus of a game, as they are meant to be fully optional.
