Is anyone hoping for a Super Mario 64 remake for 3ds?

I see two sides to this. On one hand, I don't really want another remake, as we already have the one on DS, which added a lot of new content which was pretty cool. On the other hand, I really hate playing that game with the D-pad, and I feel it would be so much better with analogue control. Some people say it plays better on 3DS because of the circle pad, but I've tried this and I just feel like I have even less control playing this way. I think a SM643DS would definitely be the definitive version of Mario 64, but also completely unnecessary. A Wii U HD remaster would be pretty damn cool though, imagine Nintendo packaging remasters of SM64, Sunshine, and Galaxy all into one game. <3

Oh my god, I would literally kill for a remake because my boyfriend is killing me because I got my N3ds two months ago and these two months it's always the same ''buy me super mario game''. But does he want a, let's say, super mario bros. 2 for 3ds, or super mario 3d land for 3ds. NO! HE WANTS SUPER MARIO 64! Either that or the old Mario games that he used to play on SNES

While I would love to see a remake of Super Mario 64 for the 3DS, I do not foresee it ever happening. Because the game already received one remake for the DS, and DS cartridges still work on the 3DS, I really don't even see any need for a remake, as SM64 DS was pretty excellent as is.
