Personally, I like Luigi better, but Mario is also a great candidate. But this isn't about me, its about you! Who do you pick? Mario or Luigi? Let me know in the poll! This poll will last only 5 days!

Possible Reasoning: Luigis jump is higher, while Mario's jump is lower. Luigi slides more, while Mario slides less. Luigi's had his own year, while Mario's had 29 others.

Can't go wrong with luigi. Player 2 deserves some respect :p I like luigi a lot because of his jumps, and year of luigi when I got my 3DS with luigi's mansion dark moon. That's another thing, luigi hunts ghosts while mario bounces on stuff and saves the princess.
 
I think that I really like both of them to be honest :p They both have their own personalities and characteristics that make them differ from each other, though Luigi is kinda underrated .. kinda . Nevertheless I like them both. Don't like to say that I like one more than the other so yeah :p

Luigi should get more respect though :giggle:

My reasoning for Luigi being the better bro is mostly because he's more of a real person than Mario, and he's easier to relate to. Whereas Mario is the "perfect person" in terms of personality, always happy and brave, even in a near death situation, but Luigi can get scared at times where pretty much 9/10 other people would get scared, and he's decently emotional compared to Mario.
 
Luigi because he is humble, shy, cool, tall, has a great personality, is tons of fun to play and many more! He is not ugly like wario and walaweegee and not cocky like Mario. He is the best Mario character and will always be too me. He is just soo fun to play and his games are fun and is just the best character and his favorite color is green!
 
Luigi. I love his shyness and he is alaways getting overshadowed. making us feel really fad for him. he has always been the underdog in anything I have ever done and he takes the role well, I am very glad to call luigi my most favorite Nintendo Character and mario bro. of all time.
 
As you can see on other threads like this, my obvious choice is luigi. Underrated, unique, a good player 2, and well, even if mario had almost 30 years of game time, luigi is still getting respect, and the games like luigi's mansion and dark moon were amazing. Nintendo is showing respect for the character, and has changed much more from a mere pallete swap.
 
A personallity too, unlike mario.

I prefer Luigi over Mario. Mario has nothing. He just goes and saves a princess over and over again. Luigi hunts ghosts, he has a personality, he is timid and he is funny too. He also jumps higher which is nice xD. But yeah he is a lot moe than just "player two" or a retextured mario. He is his own character and he is awesome. He never gets any attention which is sad. I saw a sad baby luigi meme the other day. It was sad. I can't find it anymore Dx

I prefer Luigi just because its different. It gets tiring of always playing as Mario. ALTHOUGH I DO STILL LIKE MARIO! Don't get me wrong, but I just like things different sometimes. Yeah. lol.

Personally I always liked Luigi better, especially when I was younger. Now, I have more respect for Mario. Even in Smash Bros. I liked him better. In terms of character, I always liked Luigi's cowardly personality rather than Mario's rather plain personality. In my opinion then, Luigi is better.

I don't know a single person who doesn't like Mario more than Luigi. Luigi has always been that "beat the game, get a cool new character" to me, and he always plays different from Mario, whether he's faster or jumps higher, he always fun to play. He has a sweet haunted mansion, a vacuum, and a fear of everything. What could possibly go wrong?

I like mario more than luigi because mario has way way way more modes then luigi.Another reason why I think mario is better than luigi because I know about mario way more then I know luigi.

On a more serious note, I really do like them both. Trying to choose one or the other is like choosing between peanut butter and jelly. Why choose one of the other when you could have both and have them make each other even better? Either way, they are both pretty awesome and I just can't decide who is best, so I will just say Yoshi is better than both and leave it at that XD

My vote (even though the poll has ended already lol) goes to Luigi! I feel like he has a better defined personality (Mario's is very flat, which is understandable to be honest, since he is the mascot of the company and many kids look up to him, Nintendo can't risk messing him up) and is more lovable because of it. Not only that but he is also the star of one of my favorite games ever! Luigi's Mansion, Luigi may be a scaredy cat but he is definitely cut for the ghostbuster job.

I like mario more. Mario has founded some amazing memes, and I've played Super Mario 64 my entire life. Mario was always there to collect stars, get cake, and save a princess, while luigi was not there for me dueing my childhood. Sure there was mario kart, but Mario jumpman mario has always been there for me when I was bored, whole luigi's simply stood on the side.

I vote for luigi because he needs some spotlight! He's been in mario's shadow for years. Also in mario galaxy, he can jump higher and long jump further.

Nonetheless to say, I like both brothers, but I like Mario better. First come, first serve, and Mario was the first one to appear. Luigi is a late bloomer and though I like his silliness, I like Mario's seriousness a lot more. Super Mario 64 was amazing and that featured Mario. Galaxy was also mainly Mario, and Luigi was pretty crappy thanks to his skidding.

In Super Mario 3d world, most of the time when I first played a level, I would always choose Mario over the other characters, because he is a all rounder and has no weakness or strengths, making him the best balanced character. Sorry Luigi.
