Oculus Rift.
Dev kit preorders were made available for $300 on their website starting on 26 September 2012.
The Oculus Rift is an upcoming head mounted display (HMD / VR headset) for virtual reality games. In August 2012, a Kickstarter campaign pulled in an impressive $2.4 million in support for the developer kit. The company has completed the Oculus Rift SDK, finalized the developer kit, and is no doubt working on the Oculus Rift 2.0 consumer version due out hopefully toward the end of 2013. They will likely have a proper list of Oculus Rift games in due time, but until then I’m maintaining this list for reference.

Step inside your favorite game.
Oculus Rift is a new virtual reality (VR) headset designed specifically for video games that will change the way you think about gaming forever. With an incredibly wide field of view, high resolution display, and ultra-low latency head tracking, the Rift provides a truly immersive experience that allows you to step inside your favorite game and explore new worlds like never before.

Pros and Cons.

I already knew about this technology, and it's awesome.
Sadly, I won't get one.

Why ?!?

It will be a lot expensive where I live (Let's say, 900 bucks), also without official support. :dead:

Sighh I was able to get one, but it's just wayyyyyyyy to expensive, like 300 only for the base price, there still is tax, import cost, ughh.

I'll be honest, I learned about the Oculus Rift on a forum where there was a thread about a game for it called Custom Maid 3D for it. It's a pornographic game. Very, very pornographic. I still blush a little when I remember what the controller looked like.

I haven't bought it (I'm talking about the Oculus Rift, not the game! :p) and I don't think it's available in my country. It's surprising that there's not been more interest in the Oculus Rift considering it's something gamers thought was a dream just fifteen years ago. I guess Kinect put us all off it.

Well, that's a really interesting way to know about something :D
Well, a lot of people is interested on this thing, me too. But it will be a lot expensive here so I won't have one.

(Please, remove the game title, we have kids on the forums)

I won't buy it in some reviews it is said that its uncomfortable and puts strains on your eyes and I am totally sure its very expensive here also, a 3ds is $1600 TT and coverted in US is $248.90 :dead:, see how expensive.

I've said that the game is pornographic. If they search it and it mentally affects them it's their fault.

Well I think the Oculus Rift is going to be great for Horror, and rpg because it gets you really immersed in the whole game.

Yeah, that would work too.

If we're talking about immersion, I think a lot of people will get the Oculus Rift for Fallout or GTA V.

I remember when I saw all the Oculus Rift porn game news on Kotaku, I pondered the moral issues involved, lol.

Anyway, OR looks great. Will it be on Wii U?

I hope it will be, I can't imagine Sony using OR because they already showed their version of at CES 2012 or 2013 or something.
