If you don't like Fairy Pokemon, then don't use them.

You're at fault when you wish you had one in an intense battle.

I'm indifferent about owning one, but I will say... it's not about the Pokemon.

It's about the what a trainer can do with his or her Pokemon. Good luck to all of you. ;)

That all sounds good but really it is about the pokemon. I would much rather battle with my 6 favorite of 700 cool pokemon, than my 6 favorite out of 700 chunks of cotton candy.

When I say it's not about the Pokemon, I mean that you can have all of the best Pokemon in the world, but if a trainer does not know how to use or train it properly, he or she can easily be beat.

The trainer could be using moves that are always "not very effective..." and so forth.

It takes the knowledge of the trainer to be the very best.

It's not about the shoes, it's about what you do in them...

This isn't supposed to be about whether or not you can be effective with fairy types (and everyone agrees that they are [too] strong anyway), it's about whether you like fairy types.

I'm indifferent about Pokemon types, as already stated, and I wasn't specifically talking about fairy types. I was speaking generally since you said it is all about the Pokemon.

If you don't like them and you think they're overpowered, then don't use them. You have other options. You don't need fairy types to be a great Pokemon trainer.

Obviously, i don't have to use them. But if they had created new pokemon that i liked more than fairies (and would use), that would've been better...that's all i'm saying.

I like pretty much every non-fairy pokemon in gen 6, outside of bunnelby and a few others. definitely a solid generation.

I don't mean to get you all upset. :)

You make your choice. Use it, don't use it. Like it, don't like it. It's all up to you.

Pokemon X/Y did a great job.

It's simple to say "If you don't like it, don't use them" but Fairy type still affects the way the game is played. Fairy type's introduction changed the type matchup system, even to the extent of it causing some changes unrelated to fairy (like steel doesn't resist dark anymore). People may hate Fairy because of how it caused indirect changes like that (and now Wondertomb doesn't really work so well)

With that said though, I don't necessarily hate Fairy, I'm kinda indifferent on it too.

Personally, I did not think I would like Fairies. But, they really did add a lot of balance to the game. Going back to some Gen 5 OU matches, I got to see teams wrecked by dragons, and you pretty had to have a steel type on your team to try to stop the rampage. I'm all for them. Plus, they gave a buff to Poison types, which was needed.

Yeah, I agree on the buff for poison. Before Gen 6, I used to completely forget about Poison because it really didn't seem necessary to think about. But now that it's one of the primary killers of the "ultimate dragon killer," it definitely deserves a spot on a team!

WHY DID THEY MADE GARDEVOIR FAIRY?! It's was such a cool Pokémon... They ruined her... :(

I know right?!? Used to be one of my favorite Pokemon... They messed her up

I hate fairy... It is just weird I mean, Nintendo: We are announcing a new Pokemon type! Fairy! It is super effective against Dark, Dragon will not hurt it, and it has so many advantages! Fairy is the OP one now! I think Dark should be super effective against fairy honestly.

Irony, now, because of receiving Fairy typing, it becomes viable and people hate it. Geez, I guess Gamefreak can do no right in some people's mind...

"Haters gonna hate", as everybody says. There will always be people not satisfied with what Nintendo and GameFreak does. I had to admit that I was a bit mad about how they shuffled the Psy and Fairy types, as when you play since Gen 1, you know every Pokemon's weaknesses. But, even though it's a bit over-resistant, people will be happy with it, as it's a brand new addition.

The only gen 6 thing I'm miffed about is a lack of Mega Gallade. "Mega Garvedoir? Sure, why not do that. Let's see.. What about that other Ralts evolution? Nah.... Screw him." Gamefreak discussions.

I think what may have been the case was that they didn't have enough time to add a Mega for Gallade. They said priority went to previous gen fan-supported pokemon, so I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't get to do all the ones they wanted. Don't be surprised if in Gen 7 or onward we see more mega forms

Yeah, annoying change at first but we'll get used to it I'm sure. People had to get used to the introduction of Dark and Steel type in Gen 2, for example

I think Fairy did more good that bad to balance the game, at least from what I've heard other players say ) I haven't played previous games long enough since generation 2, so I am okay with them.

It was a needed addition to the series, so that alone makes me approve of them.

I only wish they made more fairies like Xerneas, and less like Aromatisse.

Fairy types have saved me from losing battles. I remember one time when my enemy chose a Haxorus and I predicted that it will use a Dragon move, so I switched to my Clefable. Then Boom! My pokemon was unaffected. :D

Fairy types are kind of eh. They aren't any really fairy types I'd call OP (well, that are in OU and below, anyway) and most have low enough defense that Dragons can OH or 2-HKO most of them with a Poison or Steel move.
