lol yea its the master monster portal aka mystic gate npc that some of the bosses are in. the guy is just the mystic gate cropped into a new shape. the hair is inverted colors, the eyes are from this ghonst npc in the edelstein mines, the symbols from the familiar cards, the skin-tone is from Starling, and the stupid cube on his side that's supposed to be a card-case was me "trying" xD

Wow, that's an interesting combination. But hey, mystic gate! I remember that. Felt so nostalgic now.
After high school I quit MapleStory and so their contract in Thailand. I want to play it againnnn must be so different now.
I remember playing SEA region once ><
Anyway, I will try to draw this. Sounds fun!

i left in 2011 just from getting sick of all the hackers, scammers, botters, etc in Scania (came back breifly last year but my pc stopped letting it run and never ending events still overwhelming as anything) but i do still love the game. i just hate how much nixon nexon ruined it. i'm hoping this new crew can give MapleStory 2 the effort and love it deserves. or ya know, sell the rights to someone who can like Mojang. oh and i feel like this could get real nostalgic real quick, so any continuation please put it in a pm to keep the contest thread clear of idle conversation.

@Charizard1710 you have to draw my sprite (the guy not crystal thing) in any media you want with full creative freedom, and my favorite picture wins.

@Duska80 it's doesn't have to be colored if you don't want it to be, but it may end up being a deciding factor. also "and I can't draw is and online tool so good..." wanna run that by me again? ;-;

@RichGamerton lol alright then. do try to get a better picture though if you can, but i'll keep that in mind when making my final decison.

Yep. I was also supposed to go for a more circuit-like design for the cube but its hard doing that with the spongy iPad styluses xD

Most iPad styluses have soft stubby tips like this one:

definitely not meant to draw tiny details hahaha (i bet its possible with enough practice though)

oh lol. you say stylus and the first thing that comes to mind is the kind the 3ds has. yea that does look like a pain to deal with. but just like with using your finger, you do kinda learn exactly where the system is detecting you're touching after a while.

Oh well, I love drawing, so I'm going to enter anyway, since drawing is fun and this could be a good exercise to polish my drawing skills a tad more!

It's been a while since I've done character designing, so I am going to give this my best shot. Even though I can't really win. XDD

And maybe if I do win (doubt it though), I can throw my own contest or sorts. I don't know, I just want to have a little fun.

I know it's not much, just a mere sketch. But I really liked designing this guy, he looks kind of like a supercool space-knight from some kind of alternate dimension to me. I don't know, just my idea. XD

hmm interesting... i can't help but feel a bit more detail went into his head then the rest of him lol but i can tell he's meant to be walking. still not quite how i see him, but that's not what this contest is about. i may have to go super in-depth for something like that. ya know if i get enough interesting renditions, i might make this an anual thing just to see how people improve

@Cheshire_Cat03 Has brought to my attention that the "North America region" that I had at first thought only meant the US, commonly includes Canada as well for most things with Nintendo; but the US and Canada have a region restriction on e-shop codes. I was unaware of this, and apologize for any confusion this may have caused. If you have a Canadian system, the e-shop prize code may not work for you. If you wish to retract your entry, please let me know. Otherwise, if someone with a Canadian system wins, I will personally try to work out with them a proper prize, or they may gift their prize to another Pedia member.
