I don't give a flying Omega F*&^ or an Alpha S*&% because All I want is the remake version of the Emerald game. That was the most complete game in the series.

Wow. If they decide to make one, at least (since we had the B/W and the X/Y cycle without a third game). Would that be Beta Emerald ?

Anyways! IGN just made a video stating the reasons why we should be excited about Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire:

I hope that you can still make a Secret Base! I really loved decorating my Secret Base and choosing a place to build it :) I also hope that the Berry spots are back. I spend so much time planting and watering Sitrus Berries for my sister before she began battling the Elite Four ^_^

Here is my reason to NOT get excited at all. I WANT Emerald! I want Rayquaza, Kyogre, and Groudon all in one game! Groudon and Kyogre going all Warrior S*&^ on each other and Rayquaza coming to take them both down a notch!

Rayquaza will probably be in it. It wasn't in X/Y or gen 5, so..

I have a feeling Rayquaza would the "god" role, and will play a part in the main story overall in both versions. Pokemon Crystal didn't get a remake, and a lot of people rage about that, but it's not exactly like the older versions, and a lot of people was pleased with the end result. I think both versions would be like Pokemon Emerald, just with Ruby and Sapphire titles.

Why does Nintendo always have to milk so much money out of their franchise? Why can't they just remake Emerald only and everyone would be really happy with it!

I agree, I guess they like being complicated, and the "odd bunch" in the group, I think a single Emerald exclusive would be best, but it's better than nothing.

I think the same. The only reason I will get this game will be for free on Club Nintendo, I will be saving my 3DS XL code.

For November, there's a lot of better games, but I only need to name two:
- Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS
- Persona Q

Well yeah, but now you aren't solely convinced, all that has been announced is the box-art and an estimated time-frame to where the game will release... I think after you see more footage, you'd be convinced for this game, I don't really want to make a judgement on day one of it being announced.

It isn't actually for that the reason I'm like this...

I got a lot of hype for Pokémon X and bought it when released... well, a little later because I bought Sonic Lost World too.
I actually would prefer to start playing Pkm X again.

The only and real reason I would considering to play the game, because I'm not interested on the online, is the difficulty.
If they gives us a super easy game again, it's a big no for me.

I mean, I got Xerneas in just two moves and a normal pokéball!

Yeah, I got Xerneas really easy too. But, all I'm saying is that maybe it's a total new region, with a lot of content to be announced. And that's why I don't buy games the second, it's been released, because, you could get burn by a new game. I think as Pokemon progressed, I saw that the series was slowly getting easier, to appeal to the younger generation, I think the reason why I'm so excited for the game, is just reliving the Generation 3 nostalgia, and roaming my favorite region (Hoenn) in 3D graphics.

Well, in my case, there isn't nostalgia, helping to not have hype :D

Oh right, but that's just for me, there's this new upgraded Hoenn, and I bet there would be some new amazing features. It still would be a good idea to wait for at least a game-play trailer though. :)

To an extent, I disagree. I've found that as the franchise has shall we say, 'matured' it has gotten more difficult. Not exactly through an actual increase in difficulty, but rather Fake Difficulty. Specifically, denial of critical information in that if you're a new player, you won't know how the mechanics of battle work. Type matchups and whatnot, not to mention min-maxing and EV training, breeding for natures, and an absolute bundle of other stuff that you won't know unless you look it up outside the game.

But then I do feel the more recent games have gotten easier in a way. Completing the story portion of Y was laughably simple, none of the Elite Four were tough in any way, shape, or form. Even going into it blind I won on my first try.

Overall, I think the series' difficulty depends entirely on what you plan on getting out of the games. If you're just in it for some story and RPG gaming, it's relatively easy and anybody with a reasonable grasp of gaming concepts won't struggle much. If you're looking for the PVP experience, expect to spend countless hours if you want to 'be the very best' to steal Ash's dream.

This is what I've been waiting for since I bought my 3DS! I'm really so happy that they're doing this (even though it's quite predictable and the general public already expected this to happen)

Coming from Serebii

Following its reveal yesterday, there has been some question as to the actual content of Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, as to whether they're remakes or new versions due to the wording of the announcement. During the Investor Briefing today, Satoru Iwata confirmed that Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are full-remakes of the 2002 releases, Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire. We'll bring more on these games as it comes

First off I love the name. Alpha and Omega reminds me the PSI moves and they are polar opposites (why didn't I think of this name ). The beginning of an adventure! (*cough* Xerneas *cough*) The end of humanity! (*cough* Yveltal *cough*) All I ever wanted in Pokemon was the deepest story in the world and this game looks promising. Will Zygarde (Mega?) and Rayquaza (Mega?) save the day? Will Wattson still be alive? Is this criminal organization (same/different/mix?) going to be a complete pushover? Find out! Coming Soon!
