Yes, but I prefer using this trick because:

1- People in France never goes to someone else's house with their 3DS, and even more with Pokemon,
2- They are a few people who have the game + the system (As they focus more on consoles like XB1/PS4 and WiiU).
ah yeah true. Although couldn't you try exchanging friend codes with people outside of France via the Internet? Or did Nintendo region lock that too? You don't have to exchange in person for this or the Friend Safari if I recall correctly

No, they didn't region-locked Friend Codes Trading. Proof: I was able to register 3dsatackman in my Friend List.
What ? So, we can use the Friend Safari over the network ? Great news !

yeah, I'm pretty sure you're able to. Maybe there's something about being online at the same time but I really don't know for sure. Great thing is that even if you register a friend that doesn't have Pokemon X/Y, you can still get 2 pokemon from their friend safari (and the 3rd is unlocked once they get the game)

Whaaaat ? Then you mean that even if I don't have the game, you can get Pokemons from me ? If that's true, then that would be fabulous !

Yeah, like with mine I'm pretty sure I have Drowsee and Wobbuffet based on what my friend told me he got from my friend safari. Great thing is with some people the starters can be one of those two pokemon

Well, they did revolutionize the Pokemon franchise in multiple ways with all the things that they chose to add in Gen 6 for Pokemon X and Y :p Perhaps they haven't even revealed it all yet and there'll be more stuff with Pokemon Z

Yes, I can't wait to know what's next. Poor MS and S-fanboys, they don't know what they are missing !

well, we did go a bit off topic here lol...we could probably take the whole Pokemon being awesome for Nintendo thing in a different thread. In any case, yeah I say Greninja is the best out of the three final evolution Kalos starter pokemon

I personally like the design of Froakie more than the others. Chespin is literally a green Oshawott.

Competitively, Greninja is definitely the best. Because of Protean.

I don't know which one I'll pick... But that's gonna be Fennekin, I guess. And when I can, I'll simply import my old starters, (Including my LV.100 Charizard) who are actually "sleeping" in my Pokemon Diamond cartridge.

---> PS: I hope that they could make an alternative to import, because I've just lost my Black 2 cartridge...

For competitive players, Fennekin is the best to go for because it offers Zapdos. In any case, it's possible to get all the starters in the end so it really doesn't matter which one you choose

I don't like Fennekin that much, I think Froakie is better because it gives Moltres and I think Moltres is pretty strong.

Actually, if you check Smogon and all, Zapdos is muuuch better than Moltres. For one thing, it doesn't take 50% HP damage from stealth rocks. Zapdos is UU while Moltres is RU while Articuno is NU.

Those one comes in X/Y too ?!
I didn't know that they kinda imported all the legendaries into X/Y...

Perhaps I can catch Lugia in this gen. (Good old memories from Pokemon Silver on Gameboy.)

Yeah, and the Gen 1 legendaries even have their own theme now. The legendary birds are basically the roaming pokemon in this game (and it works kinda like the legendary beasts in Gen III)

Do you mean that they "move" around Kalos, and you must be lucky to catch then, like Suicune, Entei and Raikou did in LeafGreen/FireRed ? If that's the case, then, I guess that I'll skip them.

...somewhat. It's more like they'll flee as soon as you see them at first. You have to encounter them 15 times before they'll settle down in this one cave where you battle them.
