My first was a gameboy colour with pokemon yellow. I spilled milk on the gameboy by accident and it no longer work anymore. It was a very sad experience and I never manage to beat Brock...

My brother had an old grey brick of a gameboy along with Pokemon red and I used to play it non-stop until he smashed it with a brick. Seriously.

The first gameboy that I could call my own was a Gameboy Color that came with Pokemon Yellow. That Gameboy came with me everywhere, from church to school, to soccer practice. I distinctly remember levelling up my Pikachu to about level 75 before I reached the Pokemon league but I didn't level up anyone else in my team. So getting through Victory road was a really tough task. Let's just say by the time we got out my Pikachu was pretty angry at me :D

What was a great about the old Gameboys (similar to old cell phones) was that they were so durable. That gameboy took beatings, fell down the stairs, it even fell down the toilet and it still managed to live to see another day.

I think I was 5 when I got my first GameBoy Advance game. I got Super Mario Advance, with the GameBoy adaptor for the Nintendo Gamecube. Super Mario Advance was an awesome game. The other games were pretty good, too. It was definitely worth the money.

I was 9 when I got my first Gameboy Advance game, which was Pokemon Emerald.

Around 6 years old, I got a GameBoy Advance, handed down to me by my brother. I played games my brother had, but those weren't technically mine. The first game I ever got for the GameBoy was Pokemon FireRed, at around 7 years old.

What age do you got your first game?
My 1st game was Super Mario World! It was a really fun game.
You should buy it in the eShop (On Wii U!)
It was created in 1990-1991 and stills a really good game!
Now you! What age do you got your first game??
Oh yes! I didn't say my age! 8 or 9? Not sure!
:);):);) !

I was 8 too, I guess thats the coming of age for your own handheld console ;)

my first gameboy game was The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. I didn't beat if for three years, because it was difficult for a 9 year old to grasp at the time. now i know every little secret and item location. funny how time can change things, eh?

I got my first ever video game system for Christmas and it was a GameBoy advanced SP. It came along with three games that my parents have bought for it and I was about eight or nine I think. It was one of the best gifts I ever got.

My first Gameboy Color was great, I got it when I was like 6 (wow a whopping 11 years). I played Pokemon Crystal, Pokemon Yellow, Super Mario, and Dr. Mario on it a lot, I can't find it anymore though which is really depressing ;-;

I got my Gameboy color when I was five, I won it in a contest held by KidsWB because I was part of the Kids Club they had.

I remember playing the old Pokémon games and Men In Black, I remember finding it super hard to beat too.

My first Gameboy game was probably Super Mario Bros. 3. I was about 5 or 6 at that time when I got my first Gameboy SP. I would ask my aunt if I could borrow it so I could play it on mine (I didn't want to wear out her GBA's battery) It was a good game, although I don't remember if I complete the game or not.

My first game came along with my first gameboy actually. I got a Pokemon Emerald and GBA SP bundle for my 10th birthday, nice coincidence, wasn't it? About a month later I got two GBC games, Darkwing Duck and Pokemon Crystal.

The earliest time that I could remember playing a gameboy game was pokemon fire red, it was my father's game and system so it wasn't really mine.

I was about 5 or 6 maybe. But I didn't get a Gameboy though. I got a baby blue Gameboy Color with a WildCat accessory that lights up the screen and zooms in. The first game I played was Pokémon Blue, I think. Me and my brother got Red and Blue but I think he gave me Red later on.
