ugh..isn't 4 characters playable in that game?Super Mario 64 DS. Kind of a disappointment, really. There was nothing wrong with it, but I didn't like having to play as Yoshi when I bought it thinking it would be a remake of the N64 original.
Super Mario 64 DS (originally called Super Mario 64 × 4[1]) is a game from the Super Mario series made for the handheld game system Nintendo DS. It was the first Mario game to be released on the Nintendo DS and is also the first 3D Mario game for a handheld console. The game is a remake of Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64, bearing some new features on its storyline, gameplay and graphics. Unlike Super Mario 64, Mario is not the only playable character (nor is he even available at the start); Yoshi, Luigi, and Wario become playable characters and also join the adventure in order to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser. Despite the game's title, Yoshi is the true main protagonist of the game as opposed to Mario, as he's the only character available from the start. Other new features within the game include a multi-player mode, in which up to four players can play simultaneously on each Nintendo DS connected together locally; minigames to play with each character, and new additions to the story mode such as new missions and levels.
There are, but you have to play as Yoshi at the start and I completed half the dang game and couldn't find out how to get the other characters.ugh..isn't 4 characters playable in that game?

An impatient one at that. I was supposed to like how they changed some gameplay sequences and puzzles to fit Yoshi being the protagonist, but all that I could think of was that it was all a lie, calling it 'Super Mario 64 DS.'lulz you noob
Coudn't you just play the game on the 3DS,since you're not forced to play with the D-pad?Also,I got kind of offended by your thoughts on the game.My first Mario DS game was NSMB, but the experience I had with Super Mario 64 DS was a lot more interesting.
When I was a little kid I would play Mario 64 on my older siblings N64, and I knew that game like the back of my hand. it was one of the first games I ever played! So when I saw that a Nintendo DS version existed, I jumped right on that! But I was super disappointed about how bad the game controlled on a d-pad. it was virtually unplayable. I hated it and still hate it to this very day.
