My first ds game was New Super Mario Bros. DS.
It is what really got me into Mario.
I went on to getting really good at it, and researching Mario.
I later started to get games like Mario Kart DS and Mario Party and even Super Mario 64 DS.
I always liked them, and when getting more Mario games, I figured out about Sonic when I got Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. Today, I still play them a bit. It's kind of weird when you think back to when you thought that those were awesome graphics.

Mario Kart DS was my first Mario game. Since I was a bit of a fan of the Mario Kart series, I had to try out this version. I was impressed with the cool, new tracks and unique characters the game gave us.

My first Mario DS game was Super Mario 64 DS and I really enjoyed it. One thing I enjoyed was the music which was upbeat and catchy. But, I never found out what was behind the white door which is the one next to Wario's door I think. After that game I moved on to New Super Mario Bros. which was pretty good.

Super Mario 64 was my first DS game. I had already played it on the n64 but I never completed it and obviously that version didn't have the range of playable characters that the DS version had so it was a pretty new experience to me.

Like the above poster mentioned, the music for that game is great and the segment where you have to visit the boo mansion is a particular favorite of mine.

The Bowser boss battles are great and there's kind of a parallel between the first fight against the bomb king and the final battle against Bowser, which I found cool.

I didn't like Bowser's creepy laugh/face appearing on my screen when I got a game over, though. ;[

The first Mario game I played on the DS, was Super Mario 64. It was my first Mario game for the DS, because it came with the DS when I bought it.

My first Mario game for ds was another game but I couldn't remember the name,it was a lot of fun just like any other Mario game and it helped me to become more better and learning more experience when playing new Mario games that are on 3ds now.

One of my favourites was double dash, though I've never owned it.
I used to play it at my friends house. Mario kart 7 was good too because they added some new features.
I really like the car customisation option :)

I'm pretty sure I received Mario Kart DS, Super Mario 64 and Mario and Luigi partners in time at the same time... Probably got New Super Mario Bros. that same Christmas as well (2006). Only problem was my first DS broke after less then a week because my dad brought me a faulty used one and I had to wait a whole year to get a Lite.

Wow I remember when I got this awesomeness. Just the look at the back of the case filled me with joy when I opened it up on Christmas. The first thing I saw was a giant mario! Never expected that to enter the franchise. Thats right, it was New Super Mario Bros.

Super Mario 64 DS was my first ds game. I loved playing the original on my old nintendo 64 so once I heard about them doing a remake, I bought my own ds that day XD good times!

My first Mario game for ds was Mario kart ds and is my favorite Mario kart game. It was an awesome game that let you play with your friends cooperatively or competetively. It had missions which were fun to do, the new tracks were great, lots of characters including R.O.B, and was an awesome experience especially when I played it for the first time:thumbsup:

Super Mario 64 DS. My brother and I would play it all the time, especially when we both had DS's. The Versus mode and Minigames were the best (even though my brother would always beat me and my highscores). Back in 2011 I played through the game again and it was fantastic! Going back to older games and replaying them through is quite nostalgic!

My first DS game was new super Mario bros. This was the game that got me in to Mario. I used to play it all the time as a kid. After I while set aside my DS for a year. Then, I decided to pick it up again. Lo and behold, one day I discovered the magical secret entrance to the first world cannon. I then became obsessed. I strived to 100% the game, and I finally did - all three stars. I remember those days fondly. I have since gotten very skilled at Mario games. Many years later, I saw a commercial for nsmb2 and i became obsessed. The nostalgia and impulse took control over me as a begged my parents to buy a 3ds xl and nsmb2 on launch day. I played it and actually finished the game in 4 days. It was fun, but I felt that the game just did not have the same feel of experiencing the story for the first time. NSMB really brought something new to the table for the DS, so it will always hold a very special place in my heart.

My very first Mario DS game would be New Super Mario Brothers DS. I got it around first or second grade, and (pretty sure) still have it to this very day.

My first ds Mario game was Super Mario 64 DS. It was freaking awesome! You got to be Wario, Luigi, and Yoshi! What in the world could be cooler than that? Especially Wario. They should re-release Wario World for 3ds. I'd buy it twice.

That game was so freaking cool. It let you be Luigi after you beat the game and everything. And yeah, that first cannon was a massive pain in the butt to find for me. It took me a year between gameplay before i just said forget it and googled it. I'll admit it. I googled that shizz. lol
