My first was a Torchic. As a kid, I heard about how Torchic had such a cool final evolution (Blaziken) so when I got my first Pokemon game, Ruby, I chose Torchic as my starter.

I was young like 7 when I first ply pokemon and to be honest.... It took me a long time to actually like torchic final evolution blaziken, was so spoiled XD I even want to release it but I realize that it was such at a high lv 65 and it was a great powerhouse.... cuz all my pkmn were low leveled mostly leveled 15-45 I even beat the elite 4 with just blaziken but since the champion was a water type specialist I was so in big trouble such he was a fire type.... but I could say as I hot older I grew to actually love this cool kung fu chicken of course will always 4 ever be my favorite pkmn I could prove this cuz I have blaziken in every pokemon game I played

My starter pokemon was wait..... Charmander!!! When i was little like 7 or 8 or so i found this game it was pokemon leafgreen i found it when i was at new york for a trip. It was my cousin's and i wasn't spoiled i had a ds but the top screen was cracked becuase it was free (lol!) i could only play gameboy games or ds games that usually don't require the top screen like pokemon ranger. But i always freeloaded off my cousin cus his dad was rich and he didn't need some of his stuff i deleted his file (big whoops!) He had a charizard oh yeah he was like 5 at the time andf he didn't know how to catch pokemon he beat the elite four with only charizard (charizard op!) I played nut i was no ordinary player i was the one who would grind to death until i could one shot the gym leader or be 20 lvls higher than the pokemon. I found a pidgey in the grass just running around knowing there was horrible low lvl pokemon i found a shiny pidgey out of oblivion!!! It took me one day almost the ALL NIGHT to train it to lvl 36 and evolve it it was at like lvl 13 when i caught it and its been my favorite pokemon ever since scratch that go charizard (of course my cousin got MAD at me for deleting his file) spoiler alert!!! he deleted my file!!! srry for writeing to much!

mine was squirtle pokemon red version ended up evolving it to blastoise and my dang cousen deleted my save data and started playing it and beating it i was like 4 or 5 or 6 was kind of mad and then i lost the game cottage kind mad abotu that too one day i found it under neath the counter its been under there for like 10 years

My very first starter was a Bulbasaur I nicknamed BigPatty just because. To this day, I stand by Bulba as the bestest starter and have named one of my Venusaur BigPatty in honor of the original.

Bulbasaur. It's been over 15 years but I remember that day like it was yesterday.

First starter was Charmander. I chose him because Charizard was ( and still is ) my favorite pokemon. Realized very soon that it wasn't that smart of a move. Lost 5 times to Brock, Misty was also a pain to deal with. Still very happy with my choice and when I get the option to choose Charmander I definitely will pick him
