Charmander in Pokemon Red! Charizard is really strong and I generally prefer fire-type starters. I usually go for Charmander (whenever possible).

The very first pokemon game I ever played was Red so as I looked through all the starters I chose Charmander because I always loved fire and so I wanted the fire type not knowing it would take forever to raise him.

My first pokemon was Piplup. Since then in the other games, I normally chose the fire starters, but steel types have always held a special place in my heart.

I think it was charmander,I have played so many pokemon games I can't actually remember it was soo long and I was little and had not a lot of knowledge about pokemon.Plus I think charizard has mega evolution making it one of the best starters.

My pokemon starter was Squirtle in the Blue Pokemon. By that time I didn't have a game boy, so I got an emulator, I remember I played really long hours on my pc training all the ones I had caught. Really good game too.

Cyndaquil was my starter Pokemon in Soul Silver, which is the first Pokemon game I've played. It has always been my favorite starter and is still my favorite up to this day. But, I think that every starter is my favorite.
