Mario Kart Why not mario kart 8 for 3DS??

Wii U sales goes pretty bad, so it needed solid boost with the great exclusive game and it really works, I know that many people decided to buy WiiU right now, just because of Mario Kart 8. At least good that Super Smash Bros won't be such platform booster and appear on both consoles :)

Every single console gets just one Mario Kart game. The 3DS has 7. Now the Wii U gets 8.

This pretty much sums it up. I guess some people are amazed with the major improvements in Mario Kart 8 as opposed to its previous games. If people want to play Mario Kart 8, I think they'll just have to get themselves a Wii U.

In another month or two that is what i am doing. Had to sell all of my newer consoles awhile back to pay the rent, I was far behind (Between doing my online courses and tending to things around the house i could only work so many hours then i got laid off) so i had to make the sacrifice. I plan on getting a Wii U once I can afford it though.

I guess next-gen consoles are more "advanced" and with MK8 being a newer version of the game, maybe the ads couldn't "handle" it's specs, e.t.c. Besides, the Wii U sales were pretty pathetic, and thus, they needed something to attract other peoples' attention and force them to buy it. Happens every. time. CURSES, NINTENDO.

The reason they do it is because for Mario kart 7 more people got it on Wii u than 3ds so they decided to make Mario kart 8 on Wii I because more people will buy it. They did the same thing for monster hunter x. They did monster hunter 3 and more people got it on 3ds so for now on the monster hunter series are probably going to be on the 3ds.

dont you people think is just unfair that the game is just for wii u ? i mean there are people ( like me) that cant afford a wii u and we want to play the MK 8 just like the wii u users do!!!

I think it's fair because Nintendo always makes a Mario kart per platform so if they were to make mk8 on 3ds it would be unfair to Wii U Users

As everyone said, you already have Mario Kart 7 for the 3ds. Even if Mario Kart 8 came out for the 3ds, the graphics would have needed adjustments and they would not look as good as on the Wii U.

If they did release it for the 3ds, everyone would think Nintendo is becoming too lazy to earn money and all.

Well, If you look at the graphics on the Wii u, They even out go the Ps4! The 3ds has terrible graphics compared to the Wii u. MK 8 would end up looking terrible on the 3ds. and the Size of the game would not fit on a cartage.

You would literally have to downgrade MK8 so much that you basically get MK7 with a new roster and a few little adjustments, so MK7 is fine. My real problem is that MK7 has no battle modes, so after completing the main races, it got kinda boring unless I could find people to race online... :p

There'd be a drop in fps, the graphics would diminish greatly, online multiplayer would revert back to the 8-racer formula, you wouldn't be able to save and upload races to YouTube, battle mode would remain the same, which is still somewhat a negative imo.

I think Nintendo learned from Sega & All Stars Racing Transformed that simply porting an HD game from Wii U to 3DS is beyond a bad idea. Oh, and only 1 Mario Kart per console. xP

If they ported it to N3DS, by butchering the visuals and other things, they could make something like Hyrule Warriors Legends :p

However, they'd also have to port it to o3ds, which will end up limiting it severely since the o3ds is outdated crap.

Still, it wouldn't be a good idea anyway. Better get a new Mario Kart game for the NX anyway. The "it's unfair cuz some people can't buy a Wii U" argument is pretty bad, not everyone can buy any ganes at all anyway, should Nintendo go giving games away for free because of that? Hell no xD

the reason mario kart 8 is not on 3ds is because mario kart 8 sucks.

I kinda wondered how would Mario Kart 8 be like for the 3ds console. But I realize that the 3ds possibly won't be compatible for the game. Mario Kart 8 is very different and I guess Nintendo didn't want to make Mario Kart 8 for the 3ds. Mario Kart 8 focuses on its excellent racing, and the experience is stronger for it. Even though Mario Kart 8 does have a few problems, they're small enough that they don't detract much from the racing excellence. The greatest achievement of Mario Kart 8 is that it's as warm and welcoming as we expect, but doesn't cater to those who demand a helping hand. Instead, it strikes a balance, offering accessibility while demanding skill Possibly how Nintendo made the game is the reason its not for the 3ds.

A port of Mario Kart 8 to the 3DS would be far too taxing for the system to handle in a almost any form, and, even if Nintendo could get it to work, it would never be as graphically stunning as Mario Kart 8. Besides, there has never been more than one Mario Kart game on each system, so I do not force a port of the game to the 3DS in any form.
