How I grow with experience.

"If you cannot grow from the words shared with you, then you will remain a child"

This I had to learn on my own. It's important for me to learn from the mistakes pointed out to me. (Whether I'm writing fiction, or just working on any sort of thing.) I listen to people who's more experienced than myself, and with what I contribute to this site I'm privy to suggestions, critique, or even general advice. I may find myself humiliated if there's an error or two in my fan fiction blog, but I will at least find the best method to repair such mistakes. Yes, I think the best way to grow is through the experience of others, other people with experience that share words of knowledge.

I'm more choosy in life of who's advice I take. (I gotta at least know the person well enough to decide if his advice is good or not.)

But here, I'm always listening to the readers of my work.

Isn't that how we all can improve? By doing anything, we subject ourselves to the opinions of others: some will be helpful, a few may just be jokes, but by wading through all of it and understanding each word, we all can learn something and just improve.
