Hurricane: Day 16, Part One
I slammed onto a hard tile floor... I slid across the floor and crashed into a wall. I laid on my back, staring at the ceiling, completely dazed. I heard screaming people running everywhere, flooding to the emergency exits. I tried to stand, but there was an agonizing pain in my right leg. I looked down and almost threw up. Speared straight through my leg was a large iron rod, which must have been somewhere inside the wall when I crashed through it. I grabbed the rod, mustered all of the strength I could, and pulled it out. The pain was agonizing, but I managed to pull it completely out and toss it aside. I looked up and saw a man standing there, waiting. It was the same one I had seen in the restaurant watching me from the top of the building. He strode over to me, grabbed me by the neck, and slammed me against the wall so hard it cracked.
"Troy Legend," he rasped, " You must die. He wants you dead." His fist turned into metal. He raised his other hand, and it elongated into a sharp metal point.
I tried to gasp for air, but I couldn't get any in. My arm started to grow painfully hot under my jacket. A blue and green light started growing from under my sleeve. I glanced out of the 2 double glass front doors to the building and saw that it was starting to get dark outside. The sunny skies were replaced with large black clouds. It started hailing, raining, and thundering. Lightning flashed. The pain in my arm grew more intense. Thunder shook the building. Just as I was about to pass out, he hurled me through the glass double doors. I slammed into the wet asphalt, groaning. I managed to stand, bracing myself against a car. I looked at the sky. There was lightning everywhere. I focused on one specific bolt. It slammed down onto the roof of the fancy restaurant I had just been at. I felt like I was being drawn towards the Lightning bolt. The man ran at me, and just as he grabbed my neck, there was a flash of light and we both dissolved into pure electricity. The next thing I knew, we were Fifty feet above the roof of the restaurant, inside the Lightning bolt. I could sense the electric currents flying throughout the air. The man transformed completely into metal to protect himself. Mistake. With a good target found, 2 huge bolts of lightning slammed into him in midair, holding him in place. The force threw me free, and I fell out of the sky and crashed onto the roof below me. I had just enough time to see him falling out of the sky, screaming and turning into liquid metal. All of my strength gone, I blacked out...
