Day 4, Part Two
I raced down a deserted street... Two days ago I had called my friend at the gas station, and ever since I had been working my butt off to get to the address he had given me. Now, I was on the right road, but I still had to find the right house...or rather, mansion. His parents, like mine, are rich, but his parents are rarely there, or even rarely in that state. So most of the time my friend lives by himself. Anyways, there I was at midnight, checking peoples mailboxes for their address, when I spotted it down the road. I crept up to the front door and pulled a hair pin from my pocket. Don't ask me why I have one, just know I'm always prepared. I picked the lock in 20 seconds, then I creaked the door open. I looked around. The place was huge, but I didn't care about that. This was the address. I crept up to the stairs. I swiftly took them two at a time, not giving them the chance to squeak under my weight. I saw a light under one of the bedroom doors. As I walked up, the light turned off. I turned the knob and began to open, but suddenly the door flew open, hitting me in the head. I fell sideways, and as I got up my attacker jump kicked me, sending my flying into a wall. The guy grabbed me by my shirt, lifted me up, and punched me in the side of my face, then kicked me away. Then he picked up a baseball bat, and slammed it into my chest. At that point I had backed up to the stairs again, and that slam knocked me off my feet. I was sent tumbling down the stairs, head over heels. I crashed onto my back, and rolled aside as my attacker leaped off the stairs, and landed on the exact spot my face had just been. He threw a punch at me, but I twirled around to his back and slammed him with my elbow. As he staggered forward, I grabbed his arm, and judo-flipped him over my shoulder, and I grabbed my knife and stuck it against his throat. As my eyes adjusted, I realized who I had had just almost killed.
"Jackson?"
"Troy?"
I had found my old friend...
