Day 5, Part Two
We stood there, surrounded...I stood back to back with Jackson. I nudged him a little and looked at the kitchen window. He nodded slightly like he understood. One guy stepped forward, and I singled him out as the leader.
"You kids have led me on quite the chase," he said. "I have been paid five hundred thousand for the head of Troy Legend, and two hundred and fifty thousand for Jackson Wolf by the Master. You both will be coming with me, quietly, or you will both die."
I was getting pretty angry, and Jackson could tell. He shook his head no, looking panicked. I thrust my arm up, at the ceiling. One Mississippi. Two Mississippi. The guy started to laugh.
"What was that supposed to-"
He was cut short as the ceiling exploded, showing the open night sky. There were heavy storm clouds above us. A huge bolt of lightning rang out of the clouds, and as it hit my outstretched hand, it split into twenty tendrils of pure electricity, striking down over half of his men. All of the faucets started turning on and off randomly. Then, I focused on all of the built up water and slammed it at the remaining twenty guys. The air around me turned frigid again. The next moment, there were twenty very surprised ice sculptures in the room.
"RUN!" I screamed to Jackson. He grabbed a heavy vase on his way to the window and smashed it against the window. It shattered and he leaped out. He was waiting for me, but I could barely move. The effort had drained me too much. The guy grabbed me by the shirt, and dragged me away. With my remaining energy, I took my knife and stabbed him in the hand. Then, I ran, heading upstairs to Jackson's room. I locked the door, and it shuddered as the guy threw himself against it. I grabbed the nearest heavy object I could find, Jackson's bow, and smashed it against the window. The glass cracked. I kicked at it frantically, and the cracks got bigger. The bedroom door flew open, and the guy used his gun. Bullets pinging everywhere, I jumped and body slammed the window. I flew straight threw it, tumbling straight down into the darkness...
