Hurricane: Day 8, Part One

Day 8, Part One
I woke with a start... Someone was shaking my shoulder. I blinked and my vision came into focus.
"Troy, get up, we're here," Jackson said.
I got out of the Camaro, and stumbled. I felt feverish. I pushed my seat up so Jackson could climb out of the back seat. I looked around warily.
"Dude, you brought me to an empty lot..." I said.
Jackson didn't respond. Instead, he clapped me on the back, and steered me forward. We crossed the street, and stepped into the empty lot. Jackson took out a remote control, and clicked it.
"Come on dude," he said.
As soon as I stepped foot onto the lot, my vision blurred. When it cleared, there was a mansion on the not-so-empty-now-lot. Jackson steered me towards the front doors. He clicked his remote control again, and now that we were inside, I could see the remote was linked to some sort of electric field.
"What happens if you forget your remote?" I asked.
"Oh, I have a backup. My watch is linked to the field as well. I just set it to 3:15 to activate it, or to 8:16 to deactivate it."

He opened the front door with a 16 digit code, and we stepped inside. The place was huge. The living room was right across from the front door. In the living room, there were 2 leather couches across from each other, and a leather Love-seat, forming a 3 sided square. In between the couches sat a huge Coffee table, and in front of all the furniture, in an entertainment center, sat a LG 10-98" 3D, 4K ,Ultra HD Smart TV. To our right was a hallway that led to the garage. In the 4 car garage, sat our Camaro, a Tahoe, a Mustang, and 3 Kawasaki Ninja H2 Motorcycles.
"There's a private garage not far from here, with better cars," Jackson said. We have 9 bedrooms, each with it's own full bathroom. There's an upstairs, a finished basement, and a secret chamber below that. This is pretty much the safest place for you to be."
I started to say something, but I staggered.

"Dude, are you OK," Jackson asked.
"I feel weird... How long has it been since those guys were chasing us?"
"About 12 hours. Why?"
I started to respond, but my vision started to swim. The room started to sway, but I realized it was me. I collapsed on the floor.
"Oh god Troy, your shoulder."
He took off my Jacket, and my shoulder was green.
"Poison," I croaked, and with that, I passed out...

I'll admit, I even forgot about the poison.
I was worried you forgot about the snake poison, and always forgot to mention it, keep up the good work!
