Day 9, Part Two
We raced down the street... We knew we were in trouble when he pulled a shotgun out from under hit jacket. He cranked the pump, and fired. I could see the enormous bullet as it sailed by my face, and shattered the windows of a car next to me. He fired again, and we dashed around a corner. We plunged into a dark alley, and the guy followed us. I cursed. The alley was a dead end, and the nearest exit was a fire escape 15 feet up. Me and Jackson dove behind a metal dumpster as the guy entered the alley.
"I have a plan," I whispered.
Jackson groaned,"I really, really hate your plans.
"Just shut up and cover fire."
I grabbed a broken glass bottle, then I leaped out from behind the dumpster and ran at full speed towards the alley wall. Jackson rolled his eyes, muttered something about how crazy I as, and fired at the guy. The guy hid behind a wall as Jackson bought me time. I jumped right before I hit the wall, and landed with both feet on the wall. I leaped off that wall, and landed on the other, and I went back and forth until I managed to grab hold of the rail of the fire escape. I pulled myself up just as Jackson stopped firing. His pistols must have jammed. The dude came out from behind his wall and advanced quickly. I waited. Just when he was about to walk under me, I leaped off the fire escape and landed with one foot on either shoulder, and I slammed the bottle into his head with all my might. His eyes rolled up into his head, and he collapsed.
"Like my plans now?" I asked.
"Do you want me to answer that truthfully?"
"Whatever," I said, rolling my eyes. "Where did we leave the car?"
Jackson pulled out his car keys, and pressed the unlock button twice, and the lock button three times. A minute later, our Camaro pulled up by itself, and both door opened.
"OK, I gotta admit that's awesome."
We got in, and drove off down the road...
