Espio pleaded to the three hedgehogs who volunteered to fight, "But that's not even a plan!" Shadow nodded as if he knew Espio was to say that. "Exactly, if we pulled together a plan, Eggman would expect it." The room was silent for long seconds. "Shadow... I think it's best for you to stay," Sonic said in a low voice "I think we can handle them for ourselves, right now." No one argued because it was true, these two have been defeating Eggman for over 2 decades. Tails sighed "Fine, but you're going to need some gear." He passed an odd looking sack to both hedgehogs. "This is some shards of the Master Emerald, Knuckles gave them up after the raids. He said it was 'better' to keep Angel Island in the sea, instead of it being shot out of the air." Both Sonics nodded and clenched the bag hard.
