The Legend of Zelda: Intertwined Destinies. part 18

(Holy heck this is tricky. at least it's coming along, slowly.)

(Next I plan to make a thumbnail for this series. I'm close to completing it)

Zelda returned to the kitchen when morning came. The chef master Tortė waddled through, shouting for the employees work harder. "Hurry children, this is a busy time of day. We wouldn't want the people impatient would we?"
"No sir," Lynette answered.
"No indeed... ah, looks like we've a full house coming." his mustache twitched in anticipation as a large group of men came into view.
Zelda saw they were Hylian royal guardsmen, This could be trouble... Fearing for her safety, she makes her way for the back room to hide. Leading the men, was a hooded figure. That isn't Zudora leading them, who is that?... Is that Blaaz? What's he doing here? she thought concerned, while leaving for the back room. She saw Lynette filled in for her and waited on the men.

This is serious, They're practically on our heels. I've got to warn Link- Lynette followed Zelda into the back room, snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Where were you?" Lynette asks. "You were sup-... Tetra, what's wrong?"
"Huh? n-nothing, Zelda sputtered, "why do you ask?"
"Tetra, you look as if a ghost walked through here. what is it?"
Zelda couldn't lie to Lynette. She became her friend in such short time, and lying to her was truly difficult. "Well... I-... I can't explain now, but I can't be seen by those men." Looking up, she saw in Lynette's face how concerned she was.
"Tetra, are you nervous?"
"I'll tell you why later, but I just can't be seen by them." Lynette hesitated for a moment, unsure how to answer. "...You owe me an explanation for this."
Before leaving, she thanked Lynette for her help. She wasn't sure how, but she knew that she will explain everything to Lynette later.

Zelda stepped outside, and leaned on the door. Unaware of the tension that formed in her chest.
Blaaz is only a tactician, I've never seen him command the royal guard this way; they must be desperate to find me.
"Zelda?" rose a voice in the distance. She became alarmed and tried to run. "Wait!" the voice called out, "I'm an ally!" Zelda turned to see a man who wore a familiar red bandanna.
"Alonzo?" she asks him, and he nods in response.
"I'm glad you're alright." He said, "But what of Link?"
"He's okay."
"Whew, that's good." he sighs in relief.
"Speaking of which... What are you two doing?" he asked curiously.
"I haven't the time to explain, but this is what my father has asked of me. And I need Link. I'm told it's dangerous to go alone."
"Ah I see..." He seemed to accept Zelda's explination. "Things are tense at home," he eluded.
"Oh?" Zelda tilts her head curiously.
"Yeah, I haven't seen Zudora since...." He thought against mentioning Daphnes when he saw Zelda look down saddened. "...I'm sorry for your loss." he sympathized. "It's hard to lose family, I know I'd be struck with grief if I lost my granpa."
"Thank you," she dried her eyes with sleeve. "You've been well I trust?"
"Hardly," he scoffed. "I was recently ordered to work for Blaaz of all people. I've been careful around him, he'd probably strike me if I looked at him funny."
"He's always like that from what I saw. Though he behaved around father in his meetings."
"True, this is probably his first time leading men on a manhunt. But sheesh, he should treat his men better." He looked back briefly, hearing his name called by the other solders. "I must be off." he said with his back turned "... Stay safe, Zelda."
To you as well, Alonzo.
