The Legend of Zelda: Intertwined Destinies. part 23

Link awoke from his bed and looked out his window, it was still night outside. Thoughts and concerns for recent events had kept him awake, and he wasn't able to fall back asleep. He climbed out of bed to walk in the church.

He walked up past the pews and stopped by the podium. On it, he saw a book of Hylia sitting there. Link recognized this book was the same one his Uncle once carried. He decided to read the open passage out of past curiosity.
The top page read, Chapter XIII The Seven Sages: The Seven blessed by Hylia. He remembered hearing the stories about them before. ... as his revenge against the goddess Hylia, the Demon king Demise placed a shroud upon Hyrule. A shadow most foul that took life from the land and morphed its citizens to the faceless horrors known as Re-deads. Pitiful creatures that walk the earth without the light of the goddess. Devoid of pain and endlessly seeking the life force they've lost. Link began to shiver, he couldn't imagine such beings once existed in Hyrule.
But not all was lost, for there were seven mortals blessed by Hylia to combat the shadows. These men are known as the Seven sages of Hylia. Link was humbled learning that such selfless men existed in this land. Though the Sages were able to destroy Demise, they were incapable of freeing the land from his shroud. The Mastersword - a tool of the gods - is needed to rid the land of shadows. none of the Sages could remove the sword from its stone. So untill one who's worthy to grasp the Mastersword, the Sage Mutoh, sealed the shadows within himself in the Sages Sanctuary; to wait for the true hero of the goddess. The remaining six had left Hyrule to never be seen again.

A sudden motion caused Link to look behind him. He flinched suddenly seeing the priest standing before him, staring at him.
"I apologize for startling you sir." Bremeur spoke. Link sighed in relief. "Trust that I'm on your side when I say I know who you really are."
Link feigned ignorance to the priest's words. "Link listen to me! I haven't much time left and you're in danger!" Bremeur's shocking knowledge was enough for Link to stop and listen. "You read that book did you not? about the Seven Sages?" Link nodds to confirm his question. "The Sages Sanctuary is south of here."
"The Lost Sanctuary?" Link asked out of suprise.
"Yes, in its prime it was the Sages Sanctuary. He will tell you more when you get there."
"Who?" Link questioned the priest.
"Not at this time, right now you must arm yourself. I expect that man will return again. He will likely bring assistance, but I cannot say that for sure." Link knew he meant the man named Byrne from earlier.
"I'm sorry to ask you this I need you to protect this church to the best of your abilities. I fear what would happen should he succeed... We need to stop them."
Link nodded, agreeing with the priest's plan.
"But no matter what happens afterward, You both must safely reach the Sanctuary," Bremeur urged Link.
"How do you know this?" Link asks the old man.
"Again," now's not the time or place, Link. They'll be here soon. You needn't worry about me... Should I fall, tell Ceris... that I'm sorry."
Link nodded slowly, recognizing that the priest meant he may die this evening. He left to collect his sword.

(I know about the description of Re-deads being clay artifacts that resemble humans. But when you burn off the skin of a Gibdo in Majora's Mask and they turn into Re-deads, then they must be somewhat human.)
