I read this before, it's pathetic. I'm glad those old lonely losers got arrested. I guess Nintendo's hand was forced on this.
Yup they really didn't have no choice on the matter.

It's a social page like Facebook, for example, so censorship and flagging will be too easy.
Is Facebook that good with censoring? I think you may want to rethink that argument :p I'd imagine that if it's like Facebook it'd actually mean it wouldn't be too easy.

Facebook is not good with censoring, I think.

I don't say Facebook has censorship. I mean it's a social page (taking for example Facebook) so that things would be easy (with previous configurations)

oh ok...well still, even if it's a social page there's so much that they can do. There are bound to be ways that people manipulate the system somehow

Well, but people can flag too, so it's an ecosystem actually.

People flag unnecessarily though and it kinda defeats the system. I mean, take a look on YouTube where hated (but potentially true) comments and videos tend to be flagged. I wouldn't want to see Miiverse be like YouTube in that regard :p

I'll say this though, it's not like the girl was any better. At 12 years old, a person usually is mature enough to know not to keep in touch with old perverts - two of them at that.

I agree this is a great point also, the girl look like she had agree to everything that the old perverts were telling here, at 12 I never even wanted to talk to strangers, that shows what is happening in society nowadays.

For some reason people still think that people below the age of 13 do things more innocently than they actually do. Too much freedom can get to a person.

Yeah pretty much. It's probably a huge reason for why things like COPPA exist (over on PS! it meant they had to ban any user discovered to be 12 or under)

Well, I don't want to get a lot off of the topic, but here you can find kids of 10 that start to watch porn, and well... other things...
In some countries, kids aren't to much innocent now

innocence is exponentially declining tbh The elementary schoolers you see nowadays are less innocent than all of us when we were in their shoes

And they're much shorter than we were at that time too.

Yeah....or at least it feels that way lol You never know, maybe we were that short back then but it didn't seem like that at the time

I know right, I thought I was the only one who recognized that, anyways Swapnote is a history of the past now their is Miiverse and everyone is safe (hopefully) from this app.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. There's always that one troll who somehow manages to ruin it for everyone. ("LIKE AND SHARE THIS POST. IGNORE MEANS YOU HATE PUPPIES" posts on Facebook for example)

After this incident I'm glad they did this so that history won't repeat itself again over and over countless of time and hope that the people who had done so got arrested.

History always repeats itself. Predators will probably try to find some other way to do this. They're so desperate to attract little children.
