Back in Yukari's room, they found the camera she had used. It had fallen under the desk, or the killer would certainly have gotten rid of it if he knew the significance of the film. They also confirmed that the cord had come from the greenhouse.

Using Bentoni's computer skills, they converted the film to digital form in the A/V room and rewatched it, gruelling as it was.

Syn: *pausing near the end* There's a shadow cast on the opposite wall when the door opens. It's someone who's not very tall; not a dwarf like Bentoni though, and it's a guy. Also, you can see from the shadow's legs' thickness changing that he's wearing shorts. They visited the greenhouse yesterday to get the cord. I think I know who it is already...

Monokuma (TV): The rest can wait till the trial, Sherlock! Ehrm... Can I have your attention? It's time for the Class Trial! Get going, young warriors. Upupu, see you soon!

They took the elevator down to the terrible courtroom and took their places, and again, the curtain rose on a game of treachery in life, deception in death; grief in life, and misery in death; lies in life, and riddles in death - the Class Trial to live, or the Class Trial to die!

Court is now in session!

Syn: You'll find out now that the trial's began. I'll help you figure it out, but you have to arrive at the truth yourself to fully believe it.

Let's look at the facts first.

  • Yukari was murdered between 3:30 AM and 7 AM after being tortured.
  • She was killed by someone with the knife she intended to take her life with.
  • That person's shadow gives us some indications, along with the cord's origin - the greenhouse.
Riko, you're always there - who visited the greenhouse yesterday?

Black: not many of us is wearing short but it doesn't mean the one wear them always wear them but yes Syn have a point if Riko saw that person it's will make things easier

Czar:.... Could it have been that one guy the psychic? I mean he could have foreseen her killing herself and maybe he interupted it so he could trick us and get out of here...

Syn: That's the one I was suspecting - Daniel. He wears shorts and he's about the right height. But we need further proof.

Riko: the storeroom in the greenhouse is right by the entrance hard to search through though. I'm usually in the back. I was hooking up the sprinkler system to go off every hour so a lot of the stuff in there is unorganized. You'd have to know what you're looking for. Took me awhile to find the rest of the cord. It was under a bunch of tools.

Jack: well you know the day before I having my time carving in front of the greenhouse like usual but i didn't saw anyone except Riko. i didn't say i was there all day tho.

Syn: I know that someone did visit the first floor at night, because I was in the music room and I heard them walking around just as I came out. I went to bed after that so I don't know, it'd have been a great help if someone actually saw him. I want to be sure before we cast our votes.

Of course, me being on the first floor also brings suspicion onto me, but you'll have to take my word for it and see from the evidence we have that it wasn't me.

Toxic: yea, I doubt it was you syn, killers tend to not be helpful in solving their own crimes. As for you Daniel, just admit it was you!

Well since it was a guy we can cross all the girls out.and Daniel DID act suspicious to Yukari.hmm...

Using a handheld camera from the A/V room, he played the digital version of the film. The shadow matched Daniel's figure in every line and ridge.

Syn: I knew it. You might be a psychic but did you foresee that it would be this easy for us to find you out?
