Dark Mage/Sorcerer, at least in Awakening anyway. I had Henry kill a whole bunch of enemy soldiers by himself with Nosferatu and Vengeance activating. At least until the Tome broke.

I also seem to like Pegasus Knights/Falcon Knights/Dark Fliers. I am very happy that they can now be male in Fates. (Even though the Dark Flier is DLC now...)

I like sword master, they can do critical hits more easy, and have more evasion
in fire emblem sacred stones, I equipped Joshua with a killer sword and and normally he had +60% of critical hits

also I like heroes, because they are balanced,

but the healers are indispensable and I always use 1 or 2 of then (if you count a sage with a rod as a healer)

Assassin's because they have the best stats of any class that promotes from thief, they have silencer aka lethality in the newer games, that instantly kills any enemy. Other classes come close like battleragers and sages but assassins are essenTial to any team
