It's a great game and it really needs to be on virtual console, while not canon it's by far one of the best "What if" games out there.
If Nintendo were to put it on Virtual Console, I bet they'd have to run it by Konami first as they were the company that produced the game for GBC

True but Nintendo and Konami have a fair relationship as far as virutal console goes, Contra, Castlevania, Gradius(Unsure if this one is by Konami) so I think it's possible.

oh ok. Yeah, maybe they'll release it in the future then for all we know. 3DS still has a huge lifespan ahead of it so it wouldn't be surprising if they did it soon

It's the GBC/NES Dragon Quest/Warrior games I'm more skeptical of, as of now S-E has shown little if any interest in the 3DS' virtual console.

Well, do you think there'd be huge demand for it if it were on the eshop for 3DS Virtual Console? Based on reviews, it's well up there but not close to how Metal Gear Solid GBC was...

Yup, I don't think it will be a tough project to handle, I don't recommend Nintendo uploading a lot of GBA games though, (might take away 3DS game sales)

I don't think that it could take away 3DS sales. I think, that in Europe at least, it would do the inverse effect. And more, people don't really know about what's in the eShop (in France), so it could be a surprise. And if they don't want GBA games, they will keep buying 3DS games ! Conclusion of this post: It can only be positive to Nintendo to port (some, not all) GBA games to the 3DS.

PS: How were you able to post twice in a row (both of you), before me, naagza and joethejrpgmaniac ?

yeah, your logic makes sense. It'd definitely help a lot in the PAL regions. Also, I guess we just happened to be online before you got the chance to respond :p

And perhaps porting some US-JP only games will help too. (Like they ported EarthBound to WiiU, great initiative, as I have heard that it was great.)

@naagza:
I think that you're just quicker than me to answer.

I have quite a few friends who say it'd be a day one buy for them, but in Japan it's a must for Square-Enix considering how popular the series is over there.

i want some gba games to come to virtual console that would be cool. or to have a 3ds lite that could play gba and gameboy games also. does anyone think that that would be cool?

@3dsatackman :

There's no 3DS Lite. However, let's wait for Nintendo, I'm sure that they can port GBA games to 3DS !
It's only a matter of time.

Don't count on it too much as the GBA thing was just meant to be a bonus for the 3DS Ambassadors. I'm pretty sure they said that they have no current plans of porting GBA games to Virtual Console

Tales of the Abyss anyone?

Yes, I'll have to hold myself about this. Actually, I hope that they would release Pokemon Silver/Gold in the eShop. Just for childhood memories...

Well THAT'S a possibility. I mean, GBC isn't exactly GBA so Gold and Silver definitely have a better chance at appearing on the 3DS Virtual Console

It definitely resumes what kind of Virtual Console Games are needed.

Well I think it would be a little to bulky... But they should port the whole pokemon series onto the eshop, like as virtual console! That would be awesome and I would probably buy the whole thing!

I don't think porting the WHOLE pokemon series as one game on the Virtual Console would be that good of an idea. There'd be the issue of trading, needing multiple save files for each gen, etc.
