How much space do you have remaining on your SD card?

Or it depends on the "Class" of his SD. For example, a Class 2 SDHC have a transfer rate who goes up to 12Mbit/s.
So, a low-class SD can affect the 3DS, since it'll take longer to make transfers between the RAM and the SDHC.

And little tip: Avoid running a lot of processes. Such "Pausing a 3DS game", running Miiverse or the Note thing. Even though those processes are "killed" when you leave them, they still run in background, eating a small bit of RAM.

By the way *back to original subject*, I have *picks his 3DS* 24 857 blocks remaining. But this will increase, since I'll transfer the 100Mbit each videos that I have made on my 3DS to my computer.
wow that's a lot of space left haha Mine is probably 14000ish at the moment (Pokemon X took up a lot of space unsurprisingly. Imagine if I downloaded Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D though...)

Yes. And even if my SDHC Card would be full, I still have a lot of SDHC roaming in my house, so, that's no problem.
If I downloaded Pokemon X, it would take 13.000 Blocks, so I would have... a lot of blocks remaining !

yeah exactly. I guess you haven't wasted a lot of space with demos and all that like I kinda did haha I'm kinda scared to know how much DKCR: Tropical Freeze would take up if they ever make a 3DS port for it..

I have 3,248 Blocks remaining on my 2GB SD, as I never bothered to buy a new one. The biggest titles on my SD are Mighty Switch Force and 3D classics Kid Icarus at 1800 and 450 blocks respectively. So makes sense I would have so little data.

and this is where the 3DS XL 4 GB SD card helps out :p Seriously, even if it was completely empty, I don't think your 2GB SD card would have been able to handle Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D (which takes up a bit over 2GB of space)

I don't buy retail 3DS games as digital as I prefer the physical copy the only "exception" is Cave Story + on the eshop over Cave Story 3D.

You and I are complete opposites :p As of now, I have 19 retail games downloaded onto my 3DS.

that's kind of hilarious. I assume they're like the cheap $4.99 games that you only get on the eshop and don't really have a phyiscal box and cartridge associated with them?

Here's a short "Eshop expense report" to show you. So in general a few of the higher end eshop games but in general pretty cheap. Like I said I don't buy retail games digitally. I have a good few Physical games but I'd never think of buying them digitally.

Yeah, with many physical games they end up taking a lot of space and there isn't too much of a point in downloading them all haha Especially if in your case you only have 2 GB card

Considering they generally aren't cheaper than their retail counterparts, I really see little reason to. Besides the sad thing is with digital only games, once the shop closes down, there is literally no way to get them ever again:(

With that in mind, you definitely would want to get games like Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies that are legit downloadable games but don't have a physical retail version associated with them

Actually I missed two games on that list I posted, Mighty Switch Force which is 12.99, Crimson Shroud (Hell if I remember the price). And yeah, I have PW: Duel Destinies Purchased, but I need to buy a new SD Card before I can download it. I bought it selected Download Later, and it told me I had insufficient SD space.

ah I see. Well hopefully you get that new SD Card soon because I hear it's a really good game. Although it's Rated M, they've added a lot of content with the new cases and all that make it really fun from what I've seen
