Well...I wrote an email but I don't dare to send it yet. I really, really want to get into the Events Team, the title holds a great deal of awesomeness.

...seeing that the thread would only close if you'd find your new events team member and it didn't close after my email; does that mean I'm not in? (Pretty sure that means I'm not what you're looking for.)

I doubt it means it. I think the way it works is more in the sense of "they gather the e-mails, and they proceed to 'analyse the sender's profile and their 3DSPedia account' before announcing the 'winner(s)' and closing".

So I think that's they way they will proceed, but remain aware: this is an hypothesis. That'd mean that they'll probably still wait for a "deadline" (enough participants or a certain unannounced date).
