I'm rather interested in it. This is just a side project so it doesn't really make a difference in the grand scheme of things.

My time as a traveler has come.
But seriously, this project reminds me of when I was younger. When ever I'd go to big cities or parks and stuff, I'd always imagine Pokemon there, and that I could catch them. This is pretty cool because it kind of brings that to life.
Downside is now I have to wear the nerd emblem on my arm, but maybe I'll discover some nerds in hiding. It's no different from when I wore the Pokemwalker when I was younger though.

Now on the video, I absolutely love the idea of virtual reality pokémon! It's amazing! Of course you're going to look like an idiot to the rest of the world. I mean, you're randomly wandering around with your phone only reacting to things on the screen... Oh, no never mind, you'll look perfectly normal. I'd would be awesome if those features that let you meet up with people actually work. It would be so much fun! If it really is as good as the trailer shows I'm a huge fan already. And those united battles... Sadly you probably won't see pokémon all around you all of the sudden, pretty sure they'll only appear on screen.

EDIT: Okay, this seems kind of stupid:

It's basically an ugly bracelet. I do hope you can play the game without it...

And yes of course you'll only see the pokémons on your screen, otherwise you'd need some sort of glasses to go with it, your mobile devices don't project stuff.

For the bacelet, you don't have to wear it as a bracelet, it's just a way to wear it but you can keep it in your pocket and feel the vibration anyway.

To those wondering: You can play the game without the bracelet, it only works like an add-on apparently for those who "really" want to catch them all. Didn't saw the video, but I heard many people on French boards saying that you'd look like some weird psychopath if you had to swing the phone to catch the Pokémons.

On another hand, it seems fun. What's next though, Pokémon on Oculus Rift (officially) ?

Wild mugger pulls out level 50 Charizard you pull out level 2 Caterpie. Charizard uses Flames Thrower. Caterpie torches down. (And "faints") Oh no! You black out! You lost all your money and your cellphone.

YAAAAAASSsss That's what we need! Though Nintendo is definitely making the right move by *finally* making a virtual reality Pokémon game. i mean, from he moment there was crude virtual reality there have been people begging to use it in a pokémon game. I do hope that lot's of people will download it (and also that it won't be too expensive) so that multiplayer can turn out awesome. I have a feeling that these game might also be liked by teenagers a bit more (somehow in my country only people younger than 12 or older than 20 seem to play Pokémon -.-).

I hope that many people will get the app, for the sole reason of not looking like an idiot while playing and flailing my mobile around! Also, in my country, NO ONE plays pokemon anymore. Ok, not no one, but the entire greek community for pokemon nowadays is ~270 people! Most of which are 10 year olds.

But that was just so cool, as a kid I had always wanted Pokémon to be real and I was over joyed to have the pokéwalker since it was the closest thing to having a Pokémon.

I can't wait to get the app.

Well yes, and I found it but that's not the problem. The problem is that I kind of tried a pokémon cloning process the wrong way around (I was a lot younger! Don't judge me!) and now it does function properly any more. Lost means "gone" or "dead" in this case... If I reset my entire game I can probably fix the problem but I don't want to reset my first pokémon game! I certainly do hope that the app is a bit more idiot (meaning, me) proof.

I'm not sure why anyone would be salty over this when this is the best thing ever. The fact that we can travel to places where we go and "see" Pokémon in the real world, capture them and battle and trade just like you did in the original game series would make any avid Pokémon fan get on their knees and thank Based God Nintendo. Being able to get something this in the near future makes me want to go and get my phone fixed as soon as possible.

Pokemon Go doesn't look that bad It'll become a thing before you know it. I do hope that the game will be something you can play freely and nothing like micro-transactions or such ;-;
